Is the laptop compartment elevated? I had a older model tha didn't have an elevated laptop compartment and I damaged my laptop whenever I dropped bag.

I have carried 15" Mac Bk Pro plus a good 5" width of books and "stuff"in other main section. Has 3 main compartments plus little extras like safe zone. The issue I have is that its EASY to load it to 10+ kgs (22lbs). Far too easy to load up. Great bag - good padding for the laptop and the compartments are good.
