This did the the job but smelled awful for almost a week. My 2021 Rav 4 was getting water spots - literally stains from a wet raincoat, not food stains. So I used a damp cloth to scrub out the water lines. I had to scrub the whole seat, otherwise I'd be creating new water stains. After the seats dried over night I sprayed them with the water proofer. The overspray didn't leave a residue on the non fabric parts of the interior, but I did wipe it immediately. I was initially worried because the seat bottoms looked so dark so I gave the seat backs a light treatment. I figured I'd just have to do the head rests to match. But it dried and matched up, so when it dried I did a second treatment on the seat bottoms. I haven't had any issue with water marks on the seats at all. One can was enough for the whole interior. It has a terrible chemical smell that lingers. My car is garaged so I left the windows open for a few nights but still took a good week to go away.

What can I say, it's 3m Scotchgard. They know what they're doing, it works like it says. But the smell is pretty strong -- and it's not just an odor, it's something you can taste for a while afterwards. So plan for a time when you can really let the car vent, preferably in some nice warm weather. Stuck parking outside in the cold and rain? Pick another time.

I have been a fan of this product foe many years. Used on car carpets and seats providing that extra layer of protection. I have just purchased a new Vehicle and the first thing I did was spray a coat over the carpet and seats. I have also used their other products for Camping Tents to Tarps. Great for that added protection and piece of mind.

Seems to work to prevent stains and keep fabric office chairs cleaner.

Great for water proofing cloth seats. One tip I will recommend is using this in front of an open flame as it will help it penetrate into the fabric.

This was an impulse buy and It did not work well for me. My front seats had a reaction. I bought this trying to save money from buying seat covers. In the long run I should have kept the money and put it towards the car seat covers. However, this could have been just me. My family swear by this product. I sprayed it ion my driver seat only and I hated it. It made my beige seat dark which made it look dirty. I might have done something wrong so don’t take my review to heart. Even though I don’t use it but on one seat I would still recommend it just because of the people who referred me to it. And I might have held it to close. (And honestly I didn’t do the spit check before I sprayed it) I now own 2 bottles that is on a shelf and went ahead and bought the seat covers.
