Can this run continuously all the time?

No, you should run your lamp for the maximum amount of 8-10 hours at a time. Prolonged run time can result in effect the functionality of your lamp.

To give you an idea, the base is about the size of a full roll of paper towels... this thing is BIG! It's the best I've seen, it's what I got, I got a second one. It's a great product. Please understand that you should buy a timer w/ this, you do NOT want to leave it on 24-7, or you risk ruining it. It's totally worth it if you got it; tremendous value. FYI, the glass is HEAVY... be ready to lift.
