Paula O'Neil (Lindsay Wagner), the sole heir and head of the empire built up by her great-grandmother, Emma Harte, must fight off the hostile intentions of her power-hungry cousin Jonathan. Adapted from Barbara Taylor Bradford's best selling novel, and the sequel to 'A Woman of Substance' and 'Hold the Dream'.

I think I am like the majority of people to review this
I think I am like the majority of people to review this, I would have been much happier if the characters had been played by the same people as the previous films in the series. I really like Lindsay Wagner, but to me Paula is Jenny Seagrove and Stephen Collins is her husband Shane. Also what was going on with Anthony Hopkins role, the security guy? In the book there is never any hint of romance between Jack and Paula, yet in this film. I have got to say, it was very disappointing. Loved the first two movies, followed the books really well. But this one is all wrong for me.

Great coaster
Didn’t watch this DVD. I needed coasters at Christmas and the local shop were charging £20 for 6. I bought this DVD and 5 others for £15.30 for a £4.70 saving to get a set of 6 unique coasters.

great value for money
Bought this as a gift for someone who loves the 'woman of substance' series of books by Barbara Taylor Bradford. It isnt my kind of film but if you like period dramas and enjoy BTB in novels then Im sure you would enjoy this. Good actors and for the price an absolute bargain. Im sure the recipient will be pleased.

Bad
This film is nowhere near as good as the two first films. I got bored and did something else half way through. I will not be keeping it.

Three Stars
A good story from Barbara Taylor Bradford but characters differed too much from previous A Woman of Substance dvds
