Pohl Schmitt Mechanical/Digital Food Kitchen Scale - Multi-Transducer Scale for Greater Precision with Auto Shut-Off (Batt. Incl.), Black

I’ve had this scale for 3 years and it’s great! Easy to use and I haven’t had to change the battery yet! Definitely get it!

Purchased to use while Making bread. Out of the box, I was very happy with the scale. It is sleek and slim and actually looks nice on the counter, almost like a small tablet. However, when I removed the battery tab it immediately flash low battery. so now I have to replace the button battery so that was annoying. I figured I would give it a try despite the low battery. I set measure to grams. Added flour and in the middle of measurement for water it apparently switched back to ounces essentially ruining that batch of bread dough. Anyone who has ever made sourdough bread, understands how frustrating that can be with the amount of time that goes into baking a loaf. Im not sure if there’s an issue with the scale as it seems difficult to turn on and off as well, or if it’s just the battery in mine. I don’t see any way to contact the seller so if I can’t get in touch soon I will just have to return and find a new scale . Grrrrr Updated- the company reached out and has rectified the situation. They totally stand behind their products and I would not hesitate to purchase from them again!

I grew up using balance scales and have tried to get used to various digital scales, none of which I have liked. But I love this Pohl + Schmitt one because of its size, accuracy, and readability. I like that the scale is one piece and as thin as an iPad, making for easy storage. Also, because it does not have a tray or lip like my Salter, I can sit any food item easily on it. The LED display has great contrast and large numbers, making it easy to read. I may have found a replacement for my bulky balance scale!

I have yet to be dissatisfied with the Pohl Schmitt products I have ordered. Because of that I have continued to choose that brand. I was elated to see that they had a Food scale Available for purchase. It arrived my mail in a bubble lined envelope from Amazon. I have had issues with items being destroyed in these packing envelopes and I was so glad to see that the packaging that the scale was in from Pohl Schmitt was very durable and not a dent on the box. The scale itself is extremely light weight and thin which is wonderful when it comes to storage when not in use. It was very accurate and thanks to the box the scale was actually secured in, the scale was thankfully in mint condition. I think the only disappointment for me would be that it doesn’t have backlighting to read the display. Minor inconvenience. Fabulous price, wonderful company, great products. I will continue purchasing Pohl Schmitt products. (This is an unbiased and honest review)

I have a Pohl Schmidt scale already but purchased this one in Nov 2024 because it was a great sale and I love my original but this scale which I barely needed now Mar 2025 is not doing good at all. It is a constant glitch and I can't get it to clear or change settings confidently. I suggest you open your product and check it out before the return date expires. I think I will just reorder my old scale if it is available. This brand is a good brand but the product needs improvement.

Very light, easy to use, compact and perfect for when I need to travel. Makes me think my iPad is resting on the counter. Great value for what you get

Nice. Handy. Goes through batteries too quick, that's probably not unusual for this style of scale. I don't like that's its hard to change between measurements units, and found I really have to watch that it doesn't lose tare. I use it and have no plans to replace it, but when it breaks or otherwise wears out, I'll likely buy something different. I am really pleased with how portable it is. I have a small kitchen and move it out and back into my work area often. Nice to use in a small kitchen

Love this scale. I have another I had been using but it only weighed in ounces. Being a soap maker this scale is a necessity with all the different weights available with the tare button. It has a large weighing surface perfect for bowls before you weigh your product, it looks great enough to leave out on the counter but is small enough to hide away in a drawer or cabinet. It seems to be very accurate which is just what I needed. The read out is big enough for these getting older eyes to make out perfectly, there isn’t a negative thing a can say about it.
