I had a 6 volt battery from a Honda Trail 90 which I'd tried to save by using an old 6v trickle charger in 45 minute increments, but it would not hold more than 4v tops. This battery maintainer brought it back from the dead, and it's still holding after two weeks of inactivity. This item works exactly as promised, just like all the Deltran products I have purchased. Definitely worth the money, especially since batteries do not like sitting over the long winter without being charged. I have to special order dry 6v batteries to my rural Alaska location, or pay $45 every year for local products.

This unit is more compact than my old unit. The old unit had to sit on the floor with the ac cord out one side and car cord out the other. This created a trip hazard. The new one plugs directly into outlet with a long enough cord to lie flat on flat on floor minimizing any trip hazard. I wire the battery connection cable to the battery. On the new unit the quick connect is sealable when not in use while the old version had a more open quick connect. The new design is a vast improvement in my opinion. This maintains a full battery charge on my 51 Dodge pickup with a 6 volt positive ground system.

Have an older tractor with 6-volt system. Had a battery maintenance system that can be used for 6-volt or 12-volt batteries. You set in for 6-volt & everything is good unless you have a power outage. The system automatically goes back to 12-volt maintenance, which destroys a 6-volt battery. That is what happen to me. With this system you don't have to worry, it only does 6-volt systems.

Received the item and plug it in the outlet. Need a 6v for an antique car that uses a 6v system.

Working great so far, I have it on a 6v car battery for a original 1931 Ford model A, it keeps the battery at the ready.

Most importantly this Battery Tender works. And an improvement from my previous tender is that the charging status is presented on the electrical plug which is easier for me to monitor. My previous tender, from a different vendor, required me to partially remove my truck cover to see the tender charging status. Not a big deal, but it's nice to observe the tender status from across the garage.

As described. Easy to use ( plug and play) Imo, a little pricey for what it is.
