Of Neptune (The Syrena Legacy, 3)

IT IS OBVIOUS THAT WHEN YOU LOOK FOR REVIEWS YOU ARE GOING TO SEE SOME SPOILERS!!!DON'T COME CRY TO ME ABOUT SPOILERS.I have read Of Poseidon ( book 1) and of Triton (book 2) and I really loved those book!When I started Of Neptune I really did not know what to expect, because usually, when I read a trilogy always the sequels are never good as the first book and most of the time I end up disappointed . But that did not happen with the Syrena Legacy series by Anna Banks, I loved every single book of the series.In this last book Emma was sent to a town, Neptune, by Antonis her grandfather. This town was only for descendants of the General Poseidon that have decided to live in land, not only for Syrenas but also for half - breeds ( half humans , half Syrenas) and some humans. Since Emma always felt out of place in the Syrena world being the only one half-breed known , her grandfather sent her to Neptune so she could know that she wasn't alone and there was a place for her, that she also had another option for life , But what Emma and Galen did not know what to expect when they got there, because grandad never told her that it was a town of Syrenas, and halfbreeds. They meet a new character, Reed, another half breed he was very cool, nice, and funny and of course he was hot. Reed had a total crush on Emma since the first time they meet. And to this Galen wasn't happy. And I wasn't either ( but we'll get there soon).Reed took them to his dad, to meet him. Since being a half-breed is punishable by death in the ocean world, and these descendants living in land could never be in the ocean for the fear of being found by the Syrenas, Reder , asked Emma and Galen to be like a mediator or negotiator between the ocean world and the Town of Neptune. But Galen was not happy with this whole entire situation, wasn't happy with the Town wasn't happy with what Reder was asking them to do. To him this whole town was breaking the Syrena law, for living at land and having half-breeds children. Anyway,Emma and Galen got into a fight because of this , and Galen left , leaving Emma by herself at the town. To this fight I must say there was a misunderstood, miscommunication, because none of them wanted to say what they really needed to say, they did not want to hurt the other's feelings , so every time that they said something it came out wrong, and their words were misunderstood, so they both got really mad and Galen left .While driving away Galen had to stop the car on the side of the roads to cool down his temper, of course he wasn't going to leave her. Once he was calm he was about to head to the car when he was ambushed by Tyrden( yeah, our new villain) and other two Syrenas. They took him they kidnapped him and torture him.With Galen gone, Emma thought she was about to loose him forever. She called him left tons f messages, but he never answer, the poor kid was kidnapped. Reed saw the absence of Galen as his golden opportunity to get Emma. What I did not like about this was that he was asking her all the time to chose between him and Galen, since Galen apparently abandoned her, he was the only one there for her. But to me the way he asked to 'chose one of them' did not make sense , it wasn't like they were dating for a long time before Galen. No, he just meet her and he was asking her to chose one of them? It did not feel right.Another thing, I thought it was pointless to the book , was Kennedy.I think that the author made that small side story with him, just to feel up pages, to make the book bigger because what happened with him had nothing to do with the main problem, with the story.I wish I could have read more of Toraf, Rayna, Grom. Naila, they are all so funny and great characters!Overall, it was a very good book, had its HEA!5/5 stars!

Dear EmmaHow dare you say what you did to Galen. Girl where was your head. Do you have any idea what he is sacrificing for you? How much he loves you and respects you? What on earth were you possibly thinking!????!!?You go on this trip and Galen is okay with you changing the destination based on something your grandfather talked to you about. Did this mind you with no freakin questions asked. Has a hard time controlling himself around you and you question this thinking he doesn't want you humpffff. But you meet a stranger whose a half breed and go in blindly to Neptune and trust no questions asked and than have the gall yes I said gall girl to get mad at Galen about his attitude. Not only that but some of the things you said in your argument after Galen bumbled his feelings to you are just grrrr...ugh how could you. Of course he needs time to cool off you hurt him badly. But than when he didn't come back after a day you just got indignant and hung with Reed. Not only hanging but telling him things. Okay so finally you get the gumption after a few days and talking to your mom that maybe just maybe Galen is in trouble. Uh hello and you're supposed to be smart. So what do you do still have fun with Reed and his spunky cute little brother and argue with yourself about whether or not to worry. Let's see shall we...Galen loves you tries to tell you his feelings you retaliate with some hurtful things, he goes to cool off and NO ONE hears from him for a few days and all the while your playing indignant and wounded while having fun with Reed, when you finally think something may be wrong you still have fun putting it to the back of your mind until someone alerts you even more. Finally when you do start to worry you let others take the lead and still hang with Reed. Once you decide to go looking all heck breaks loose and when someone says we saw Galen and he wouldn't stop running instead of thinking oh something is wrong you get huffy and puffy.Now Galen has been through heck and feeling horrible about your argument awhile you are gallavanting around town with Reed. And than act shocked about Reed wanting more from you..uh hello.We reach the apex and things are going down and you still act like a do of. Good thing Tolaf and everyone show up and that Galen is a great kind considerate sweet guy merman because honey you would be in the doghouse with someone else but anyways because of those qualities you aren't and he goes back to risk his life to rescue Reed.Now after all that he gets Grom to meet with Reder to talk peace with the half breed town. And he accepts Reed and loves you and will still sacrifice and , wait for you. Awesome man you have don't blow it girl or I will smack you upside the head do you hear me.

I was hooked to this book pretty early up, I found it hard to out down. Cant wait for more.

My daughter couldn't put it down.

This is my least favourite of the three books of this saga. It continues the story from the previous book giving it a nice twist. But in my opinion, the previous ones were better.

My daughter loved this book. Its the third in the trilogy.

It was a good book but it wasn't necessary for the trilogy.
