Great dispensers! We use them for sugar and powdered creamer. Very thick glass that is easu to fill and keep clean. They go well with any decor.

Bought this for powdered creamer and it works great.

It works very well when full- study. Well made the only con is when it is less full the powder don’t come out as well. Easy to clean- just toss in the dishwasher.

If you like these sugar servers from your experience in Europe then this is not the product for you. Properly designed, these servers will reliably dispense about a 1 teaspoon dose of sugar. This thing dispenses over a tablespoon. I even tried putting a piece of tubing on the downcomer to cover the ridiculously large scoop, and I still couldn't get the dose under 2 teaspoons. This seems to be an American interpretation of a European product. It's pretty, and it's reasonably well made, but because of its egregious dosing I can't recommend it.

This is NOT a retro style. The old retro dispensers had an open hole that allowed the user to dispense as much as they wanted. The description doesn't tell you that this delivers a pre-measured amount of sugar - slightly more than 1.5 tsp. Since it's not exact, you can't use it for baking either. If you want less, that's easy enough to do, but if you want more, you're left dispensing again and it's hard to judge. Alot of users know just how much to pour using the old style dispenser and the fact that this does it for you isn't the greatest. If I'd known this, I would have purchased another style. The jar itself is glass, so it cleans well in either the dishwasher or by hand, but it would have been nice to know that the amount is pre-measured as that was a deal breaker for my husband.

It's a larger than average capacity at 350ML which is appreciated for less frequent refills. It doesn't have it's own packaging and is simply rolled in bubble wrap. As for all the reviews complaining about the spout they didn't want, this is a spout pourer, the same company also makes the open flap version where you can pour as much as you want, this one is for a fixed amount of sugar. It's a good product that would be better with proper packaging, and a price adjustment since I think $25 is way too much.

It's nice. The lid is secure and it's sturdy. I don't know why they put that long stem inside though, you have to keep it really full to work.
