Blue Lizard Sensitive Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion, 3 oz Tube

I’ve been using blue lizard sunscreen for about 7 years now. It’s great for all day sun exposure, lake days, beach days, river days and pool days. The thick lotion stays on and glides on smoothly. It does leave your skin with a white shin on your skin, but it works so well, I don’t mind it. It will leave white marks on your swimsuits. But it washes out. Great for sensitive skin, and light smell.

We used this during our trip to French Polynesia, and I think it worked wonderfully. It held up well and helped keep us from getting sunburned, which is exactly what I wanted. I went for the tropical scenery, not to become part of the seafood menu. We chose it with the coral reefs in mind, and I appreciate that it’s made without oxybenzone or octinoxate. That was an important consideration for this trip. We also liked the smell, and it cleaned off well afterward. We didn’t have problems with it staining or ruining our clothes, either. Good sun protection is the priority, but keeping our vacation wardrobe intact was a welcome bonus. Based on our experience, I’d happily pack this again. The memories came home with us; the sunburn didn’t.

Great sunscreen! Used this on a week and a half long trip to Hawaii and only sunburned a tiny bit (not a severe burn). My partner and I applied this consistently and it did its job well, including in the water. The color-changing cap is a nice touch as well to know when you need to apply. Would recommend if you are looking for a reef safe, skin safe option for sunscreen that does what it’s supposed to.

It goes on smoothly and provides good coverage. It does leave a white cast at first, but it blends in well with a little rubbing. I find the white cast helpful when applying it to a squirmy child because it makes it easy to see where I’ve applied sunscreen and spot any missed areas. Overall, a great choice for kids and outdoor activities.

So far, it gets the job done, but it will leave a stain on dark fabric so I strongly advise applying it about ten inchese away from a garment while it's thick, then gradually spread it closer when you get it thinned out. I have rather sensitive skin, and other than feeling a bit greasy, it doesn't bother me.

I’ve been searching for a good non-toxic sunscreen for a long time and I think I’ve found the one! It doesn’t leave the white cast like other non-toxic sunscreens do and it barely feels like I have it on. I spent all day on the beach and only applied twice and I didn’t get burned at all. I do have more olive toned skin but I still can burn easily. I did not with this sunscreen. I also like that it’s not that expensive compared to other sunscreens. For myself, this sunscreen lasted a week on the beach.

This is sprayable gold! I am a redhead as well as the wife of a transplant patient ( the drugs that keep him alive cause him to be sensitive to the sun, they literally told him that if he is not careful in the sun it is not if he will get skin cancer but when) so sun protection in our house is vital. While hubby can use just about any mineral based sunscreen because of my adhd I have issues with feel, as well as sunscreens scent gives me massive migraines. I bought this for the hubby as he has a lawn bowling tournament this weekend, but before he used it I decided I should test it on myself. I almost cried, no scent minimal to no feel at all on the skin after a couple minutes of absobtion on my skin. It leaves behind no cast that I can tell (my freckles turn a funny color with most mineral sunscreens so I can tell it is there) that I can see, but again I am a pasty freckle covered chica. I immediately returned to Amazon and using my fsa card bought two more bottles; one for me and one for our 19 year old son who has ASD and usually refuses sunscreen because of the same reasons as me ( like mother like son). So we have a household of sunscreen needs and this one checked every single box. I have in the past couple of years been using Korean water gel sunscreens that are great but the price per ounce gets way up there really really fast. This stuff is better and we can use FSA OMG it is an absolute dream! I can not love this more. For my fragrance adverse folks thos is 100% fragrance free, not just the barley there absolutly no scent. Blue Lizard has always had a reputation of being the gold standard, but because of smell and feel I was always heartbroke looking at them like a kid looking at the greatest toy through the store window knowing I couldn't have it. They upped their game and made a customer for LIFE well three customers. You absolutely will not regret getting this sunscreen! I am a person who is pretty stingy with 5 star rating, as I feel there is usually room for improvement, yet here we are I wish I could turn the star rating up to 11! (IFYKYK) I know my post may sound a bit manic, but I am 51 years old and have been searching for this sunscreen my entire adult life so I may sound a little amped and am am lol. Do yourself a solid and try it. I think you really will be happy, maybe even over-enthusiastic like me:).

easy to apply but too small, last one week only so not quite worth the value

Ha cumplido su función, es muy densa y cuesta extenderla pero es justamente lo que esperaba, iba de viaje a Cancún y son muy estrictos con los protectores solares que no son de origen mineral, aunque es incómodo creo que todos debemos concienciarnos y empezar a usar este tipo de protectores

Good sunscreen. Does what it says, without added chemicals. Goes on white, rubs in colourless, stays on in water.

Amazing stuff. It doesn’t have a distinct smell from the bottle but when I covered my self it smelt of a nostalgic jelly shoes x hint of berry (in my opinion) which I quite like. It ‘white washes’ in a sense so u can see where you’ve placed it and then soaks in better. The lid colour change is handy I suppose but it states it only works for like 8 hrs of uv exposure to the lid so it’s more of ‘it’s a lil cloudy lemme check if I should apply more since it’s been a few hours’ and then you get it out and reapply if necessary.you wouldn’t want to just say leave it out on the sand or grass all day as it changes colour instantly so you will still want to keep in mind how long it’s been since applied. I found it’s great for those not necessarily direct sunlight days when u may b unaware of the harmful rays still hitting you. As im quite a pale girl, the white wash looks purple ish on my body and then it settles, im not sure if it would make a longer lasting white wash on other skin tones but I’d assume once it’s soaked and settled (usually about five minutes I found) it’d just look slightly glossy as it does with me.
