Great scale for the money I’ve been really impressed with this scale so far. The 110 lb capacity is more than enough for most of the things I need to weigh, and the 0.1 oz increments make it surprisingly accurate for a scale in this price range. The large backlit display is easy to read, and having the display separated from the weighing platform is a really nice feature when you’re weighing larger boxes or items that would otherwise block the screen. The tare and hold functions are also very convenient. I like that it can run on batteries or be powered by USB or the included AC adapter, so I don’t have to worry about being tied to one location. The overall construction feels solid, and setup was basically plug and play. If you need a reasonably priced scale for shipping, packages, garage projects, or general weighing, I think this is an excellent value.

Waited a while before writing this review because I wanted to actually use the scale for some time. So far very happy with it. It's accurate and sensitive, even for few oz small items. Compared the readings with my kitchen scale and they were very consistent. Favorite feature is the seperate display. With my old scale, larger boxes would cover the screen, but that's not an issue with this one, it's very convenient. 110 lb capasity is more than enough for the packages I normally ship, while it's still precise enough for smaller items. Hope it will last long.

This is a decent scale or probably even a very good one, but my standard is so high because the shipping scale that I purchased from Amazon in 2009 (which was their most popular selling $10-$20 scale at the time), which is still my main scale today and I still have that original one (and it'e been through hell and back), is take a knee and bow before it good. It's a WeighMax brand scale. I see they still make a scale and it's reviewed well on amazon (except that one only goes to 25lbs). The one I purchased on 2009 goes up to 35lbs (I would get up to 40 sometimes), which is the only downside of the scale and makes this Accutek scale necessary, because I need a scale that can weigh the occasional over 35lb package, but I don't need it very often and there are no perks to this scale to where I would use it over my other one when under 35lbs. I'm not a fan of the dingle-berry hanging off the side of this one.... when I'm packing and shipping I'm already full blown octopus with every hand, finger, toe, and crevice holding onto or doing something, but with this now I'm juggling this attached fetus and I'm dragging it around and bouncing it off of things like it's Weekend at Bernies. But to be fair... if I wasn't comparing this scale against my one and only savior, I would likely be sucking this one off for sure, so it's still a good product and it does serve the over 35lb function. But what makes the Weigh Max scale so good is, I could put it on hi lift carpet or anything and if I plop a package on it even off balance on carpet, it gets the weight in one try (this scale doesn't have anywhere near that accuracy and it will spit out 3 different weights sometimes)... It only has an 8x6 surface level but it has insane balance and acts more like a 12x12... This scale has an an 8x7 (an inch more), but it's like man on a wire... even mid sized packages can be a bit of a balancing act and you will need it centered and on a hard surface to get the accurate weight. Another feature on my other one that I like and i wouldn't be surprised if this one could be programmed to do it as well, but once it's content on what the weight is (which takes 1-3 seconds on average)... it beeps and that lb number locks on the screen for about 10 seconds, which is perfect because big packages often times are blocking the reading and there's scenarios where you need to effect the package to look at the weight, etc, so it's an excellent feature. Anyways, they're both good scales, and this one gets you over the 35lb weight limit, which is what I like about it and why I own/use it.. I can't attest to the new WeightMax scale but it's a bummer that the weight capacity of the current model is 10lbs less then their budget model was 20 years ago, because having 10 lbs less all those years would have been substantial.

I have a small home business that ships an average of 5 boxes a week. Not enough to sanction buying an expensive industrial scale. So we were using a kitchen scale. The problem with that is that it was very difficult to see the readings because the box would cover the display. It wall also too small to read over 10 pounds. So we'd step on a normal bathroom scale and find out our weight. Then step on it again, holding the box. Then subtract the original weight to get the box weight. It worked but was a pain in the butt. I have no idea why I didn't buy this sooner. Now we can put the boxes on the scales and the read out display is separate from the scale attached by a wire. So easy to see and it's LED. It's making our lives a little easier. It's kind of geeky to get excited over a shipping scale but this thing measures very small to very large packages and envelopes. It's very accurate because we compared out weights with the Post Office weights. Dead On Perfect!!
