Cinema Secrets Bald Cap Beige

small, looks like a tan balloon
My daughter was in a special effects contest. She was getting things lined up without much notice to prepare or a lot of funds. She read the reviews and ordered this bald cap without really looking at it until the day of the competition. (We had 2 days to prepare for this, so things were a bit crazy) Shame on us and her for not looking at it before hand, but good grief!!! This thing was #1 small, #2 ripped easy, #3 had no stretch to it at all! #4 no one has that color skin unless your dead or made of plastic. #5 makeup wouldn't stick to it. #6 I understand you get what you pay for but REALLY??? It was a disaster. She didn't win....not blaming that entirely on the cap but it really, really didn't help the situation at all. So, with all that being said, if you want a play cap for a kid, or just don't care what it looks like, feel free to order. If you want something somewhat professional and easier to work with...keep walking.

Good for the price
This bald cap was for a surprise party and it worked pretty well! Probably not the best in the game but worked well for what I needed it for and it was cheap. I bought adhesive to help glue it down and then I just used my own makeup to try and blind.

Just kinda meh.
I bought this for my friend's AHS Twisty Halloween costume. I've never actually had to apply a bald cap so I don't have much of a personal point of reference. I watched a mess of tutorials and such about it first so I kind of knew what I was doing. The cap had kind of an odd shape - or maybe my friend's head is an odd shape. After a lot of careful cutting, a spirit gum mess, and some wax to cover tears and blend lumps, we had something decent. The cap is a bit less opaque than we'd hoped too. I used a creme foundation on top to try to make it more skin toned and less sheer. After some time at the Halloween party though, heat caused some sweat and the hairline started becoming clearly visible underneath. If we were going to do this again, I'd probably use a heavy spray on foundation. Again, I don't know if all these issues are typical occurrences with other bald caps but I think for the trouble and money, I'll probably just make one next time.

Disappointing
Probably the worst bald cap i have ever worked with. Spend the extra money on the Mehron brand.I already had one of these bald cap in our stock from a previous director. Our of the package it looked like it would work and I saw some encouraging photos of a successful application from another reviewer. I decided to order 4 more from Amazon. When we tried to appy the cap it was just too small and precut. The widows peak was too high and was not able to cover the actors hairline. It was also too short and did not reach his neck. We attached it to the actors forehead and pulled it back to attach the neck but it was so stretched it was pulling his eyebrows up, giving him a permanently surprised look on his face. Also it has alot of defectsnin the latex and inconsistant quality control. This item is not eligble for return so we are stuck with 4 crappy bald caps and out the money.

Looks great when you know how to apply it
This bald cap looked amazing and stayed on all night! of course you need to apply it correctly for it to look as seamless as mine. I used spirit gum for adhesive, and liquid latex to hide the seam line of the cap to my skin. also applying some foundation to the bald cap so it would match your skin tone better. i’ve already reordered this for another pitbull cosplay.

It's a yellow swim cap
This thing is thin, yellow, and in no way makes me look bald. To make it look correct requires several more items including spirit gum, make-up, etc. I would have been fine with that fact, but the fact that it's yellow is just bad. It really looks like you are wearing thin a yellow swim cap you can see dark hair through, and are in no way bald. So unless you are jaundiced and pretty much bald already this thing will in no way shape or form make you look like the picture they show here.

cut oddly, does not cover hair
I've bought Woochie bald caps every time I needed one (ok.. 4 or 5 times?) and this one was just not like the others. Usually they are plenty long all around and then I cut away where I don't need it, but this one looked like it had already been cut to cover someone with male-patterned baldness. It went up very high on both sides by the temples and was too short on the sides. I was using this on a 10-year old boy, so it would be far worse on an adult. Also, after pulling on it a bit to try to make it work, it ripped apart. I've never had a Woochie cap do that. Will definitely find a different brand for the future.

Pretty good bald cap, especially for the price
Although this bald cap does not apply as seamlessly as the photo, I think that it's a pretty good cap. I will add the disclaimer that I am not a costume makeup professional and merely used this cap for my Halloween costume.I have long hair (halfway down my back) and was able to pin it to my head and cover all the hair using this cap. The main problem with the cap is that when you stretch it, it does have the propensity to tear. I had it rip near my ear area after cutting it to fit around my ears (which you will have to do because the cap does not have ear holes). I was able to mostly glue it back together, but it didn't look as nice with the rip. Other than the ripping, my only other complain is that the edges ripple when you use glue. I used spirit gum, which is costume makeup glue, and the cap required multiple layers of the gum to stay in place. It began to ripple around the edges (shown in first photo) while the glue was drying. It wasn't that noticeable to other people, but it did bother me because I am a costume perfectionist.Overall, though, I think that these flaws are inherent to any bald cap and I would buy this again in a heartbeat if I ever need to portray a smooth-headed person again. It was able to be covered with makeup well and everyone loved my costume. For the pictures, I attached a reference photo showing how much hair I have, a picture of the bald cap after makeup was applied to match my skin tone, and the final result.
