This collection DOES NOT contain the versions of Paul’s songs that you have heard on the radio. “The Best of Paul Carrack” consists of bare-bones basic tracks with little or none of the rich, full sound from the radio versions. If you want minimalism, get “The Best of….” I recommend “Paul Carrack COLLECTED.”

I can't believe I'd never bought any of his music in the past. Recently I was prompted by Muzak in a restaurant that was playing ' In The Living Years" . I Googled it and he was mentioned as the vocalist for Mike and the Mechanics.I remember hearing his name in the past, probably because I have ancestors named Carrick. This man has one of the best voices of anyone I've ever heard going back to the 1940s . His version of 'Moon River" rivals that of Andy Williams'. When it comes to Soul and Blues vocals, you'd think this guy came up through the ranks of Motown or Memphis. He also puts me in mind of another favorite of mine ,Van Morrison. Everyone that I've played this for seems to share the same sentiments. Excellent production and arrangements make this one for the ages.

The case was broken, but disc ok, broken case creates storage problems.

I was late getting on Paul Carrack. A fabulous singer and musician. Britain’s finest. Price is great, sound quality is excellent and song selection is terrific. You can’t go wrong.Buy!

Great collection, quality CD.

I love this CD. It has almost all my favorite Paul Carrack songs on it. He's in fine voice.

This man is outstanding. Music and vocals superb.

Some of the viewers presented this artist as a really good singer. Yes I agree, but one thing remains a turn off not all songs are original hits. There are two that are remixes and a couple live songs as well, The rest I don't know. I'm only aware of some songs that I heard of but majority i do not. Some i recognize but never really knew the song titles. Also i would like to add There are some lighter songs that sound from a 50s movie. Even though I was not born in the 50s, I have viewed some when I was younger. Overall this cd is very good but some songs take getting used to.

What a soulful voice, great songs, especially the Marvin Gaye rendition. Highly recommeded
