Question 1

Why is this cheaper than the other brands, such as Tomlyn and Vetoquinol/Viralys?

Accepted Answer

Hello!

Thank you for reaching out to us! One reason that we are able to offer our L-lysine at the price that we do, is because there are no additives of any sort in it. It is simply pure l-lysine and nothing else :) Some brands add flavoring to their l-lysine, but we have found that cats can be picky eaters with added flavors. Our l-lysine is virtually odorless and flavorless, so most cars aren't even aware that it has been added to their food.

We hope this has helped to answer your question!

Question 3

How fine is the powder? Is it very fine or granular?

Accepted Answer

The first container I bought was a fine powder that melted into their food. The next tub (3 months later) was more granular: it clumps when I sprinkle into their food. I started adding a "Broths" packet to try to mix it in better. I was considering grinding it, but the texture makes me think it won't really soften into the very fine powder of the last tub.

Question 4

Is this intended for use long term or short term use?

Accepted Answer

Long term as in a daily supplement. Good as a life-long part of keeping your cat healthy and to have a better immune system
