Kryptonite Motorcycle Alarm Disc Lock, 120dB Anti-Theft Brake Pin Lock

I Love them they lock my front wheel and sound was triggered by moving the motorcycle

This lock does have an alarm, but unlike others a stiff breeze will not set it off. It will go off if you try to move the bike or start messing with the lock itself, and that is all i was looking for. Would have liked a slightly larger pin that goes through the disc, but what is there is satisfactory. The one big change i would like to see is to make it available in a bright color instead of black and chrome. I want potential thieves to spot it before even coming over to my moto, especially since i lock it on the rear disc. The colored reminder cable form the lock to the handlebar help with that, but all the same, a bright color on the lock itself is better. It has been on the bike in rain and snow and i have never had a problem with water getting in the battery compartment or with corrosion. I also like the one beep for locked and two for unlocked. Very simple. It also fits perfectly under the seat of my Versys 1000. Overall i am very satisfied with the product and would purchase again.

this device fits on my E bike very securely. And it is also very loud. This feels like it’s made out of heavy duty material and constructed very well.

It’s a good lock. Feels sturdy and is somewhat compact for what it is. It’s not sensitive at all though. If someone tries to roll out or carry your bike or drops it, it will go off I’m almost certain. But if a drunk fool touches or sits on your bike then most probably it won’t go off. I guess this could be a plus or a minus depending what you are looking for, but for me personally, I’d rather have it a little more sensitive. I saw reviews complaining that it does not go off at all, I am suspecting they might not have activated it. When you lock it, it will either give a single beep, followed by another longer beep in a few seconds - that’s how you know that the alarm is active. If it beeps twice when you lock it then the alarm is not activated. I also wish it was a little bit louder, it’s not quiet but I think it could be louder.

This is a great device to prevent someone from stealing your bike. It doesn't completely stop someone from being able to pick it up and throwing it in the back of a truck, but sure does scare away an amateur thief who gets scared and runs away when it makes noise if they start tampering with it. It also prevents someone from being able to roll your bike away too. I recommend this, a chain, and a bike cover if you leave your bike outside like I do. Just make sure it's pin can fit in your rotor, which it should for most bikes. Would recommend.

So i purchased this lock a few months ago for my motorcycle Aug 21 and I am writing this review Nov 21. I took my bike out to the gym and put the lock on my rear brake disc. I went to work out came back and the lock for some reason would not open with the key tried a number of times and it still would not come off. I keep trying different things and gave up and called a Locksmith to get it off. I waited over 3 hours before the locksmith actually came out and gave me a hand. The lock is destroyed and I put contacted Kryponite about a month ago and they have not reached back out. Stay away from this lock it is garbage. I wouldnt recommend this lock look for something in Update: The people have reached out to me about the lock first communication was like 3 months after the incident. They asked me to send a picture of the lock and key. Luckily I didn’t throw the lock away because most people would have by the time they got back to me. They said they would replace the lock and reimburse me for the locksmith. Sounds good but then they went dark for another 2 months and I didn’t hear from them till today 1/25/23. They still say they want to send me a lock but I don’t want s lock because this lock left me stranded for 4 hours waiting on a locksmith. I would recommend this product and I definitely wouldn’t recommend the customer service. Please take my advice be wary of this product.
