I started using collagen peptides recently for joint maintenance and repair. The verdict is still out as to whether or not it's going to make a difference for me. But I haven't been taking collagen for very long and I'm told it can take a while to notice the effects. When I started taking collagen, I was using a different brand (Garden of Life). It has types I and III collagen has a high protein profile per serving and is supposed to be flavorless. It is not. I found that the Garden of Life product didn't mix very well and if not diluted and/or mixed enough, would have a taste I didn't find agreeable at all. CONTRAST THIS WITH DOUBLE WOOD collagen peptides. First, it's cheaper per unit than the GOL brand. Granted you don't get as much per serving. But it mixes and dissolves into any liquid very, very well. The best part, no taste. It says it's flavorless...and it REALLY is. Lastly, it has not only TYPE I AND TYPE III collagen, but ALSO TYPE II, and that's the one which specifically targets joints. If you look around, you'll discover that many of the brands don't have type II collagen and this is probably the most important type to consume if you're looking for joint repair and maintenance. All these factors taken together mean that for me, DOUBLE WOOD COLLAGEN IS A SUPERIOR PRODUCT. I do not understand the negative reviews I saw claiming it doesn't mix well and tastes weird. My experience is totally the opposite of this. Mixes great. No taste. HAS TYPE II COLLAGEN. Perfect. 5 stars. Thank you Doublewood.

Collagen is good for bones and teeth. Collagen is not very available in out diets. It as no taste so can be used with any beverage.

When I start a new supplement I try to make no other changes. I also try to be very patient when expecting changes. I was trying to fix my skin, joints and nails from the inside and had read that nutrition is 90% of the battle. I'm 60 years old and had been losing collagen for years. Dry skin, old hands, achy joints for way too long, dry eyes, (dry everything), bumpy alligator skin, receding gum lines, split nails. All that. After about three months of taking 1 scoop a day of the Double Wood Collagen Peptides I realized my joints felt much better. At six months the dentist remarked, after taking measurements twice, that not only had the receding of gum lines stopped - they had improved!! That's not super sexy, but teeth are important. At a little over a year I now have improved finger nails. One nail had been split for over 10 years and is about 75% improved. Wound healing has improved, my skin is smoother and continues to improve. I no longer wake up with eyes that are so dry that it hurts to open them. As other reviewers have noted - fine lines and pores are smaller. My jowls are starting to tighten up and any signs of crepe skin are gone. My cat no longer draws blood every time he tries to play. Joint pain is minimal. I'm starting to experiment with more than a scoop a day and might update my review down the road. With results like I've seen it really doesn't matter what it tastes like, though there isn't much taste. In the beginning I would put a touch of cinnamon in my coffee also to mute the flavor but now it's fine. The powder dissolves well. I also thought this was a great value compared to some other brands and also like that it is made in the United States.

I have been taking this for a couple of weeks now and I think I’m feeling and seeing a little bit of a difference in my joints, skin, and energy levels. Will have to update after more time. Overall I like it. It is a bit sweet for my liking but it’s not so bad I can’t take it. The pear flavor is more pleasant than some others I have tried. For the price point I would say it’s worth it!

Well I've been using this Collagen for a month now and haven't really seen a difference. Maybe in two months of using. The powder mixes well and dissolves quickly. No gritty taste. Has a measuring cup so very easy to use.

Mixes easily and well into cold or hot beverages, and I like that it’s flavorless. Very pleased!

I have purchased this item multiple times. I have recently lost a ton of weight due to medical issues, and have had sagging skin all over my body. It’s been awful!! I already used a collagen supplement, but wanted something powerful for baths that my skin could soak up from the outside - as our skin is our biggest organ I knew it needed help from the outside as well. I couldn’t find a lot of products that actually showed results in terms of bath help, but this was absolutely effective and amazing!! I saw many results almost instantly after adding it to my bath water. I add about a 1/4 of a cup, right before I get in. Being a nutritionist, I also believe and know you soak in what you put on your skin, and do believe it has helped additionally with my over all digestion. Our skin is an amazing organ, and things that are safe to ingest should be safe for our skin- if it’s not, you shouldn’t be ingesting it. I also appreciate the quality and the darker bottle to keep any light changes from happening to the collagen. I will keep buying. Thank you for helping me on this crazy weight loss/skin saggy journey. I still have a way to go, but it’s gone from complete old lady sag (I’m early 40’s - had 6 kids and 6 c-sections) to more youthful glow, elasticity, and with a little toning work with my muscles I have no doubt I will be comfortable in my own skin again and not embarrassed to be seen. Thank you with all my heart for having a product that has helped so much. Definitely buy and get started today!! Make sure to follow with a good moisturizer to keep the effectiveness going. Even pure virgin coconut oil adds to the effectiveness and keeps it going. Try it!

While not exactly tasting great this seems to be helping me with my knees with long term cartilage damage. Pain and inflammation are greatly reduced and soft tissue seems to be showing improved healing. I'm hopeful it will continue. I will continue after this container. Hydrolized collagen is showing well in scientific testing so I have a degree of confidence. Doesn't clump, mixes with water well and is just about palatable.
