I was skeptical to try another serum. A friend of mine recommended this and her skin always looks so clear, healthy, soft and vibrant. I have been using it consistently for 2 weeks and 2 friends have mentioned how amazing my skin looks and a stranger told me she needed to know what I use. Highly recommend!!

Open Formula's Retinoid 5% Serum was a terrific find. I searched for a strong retinoid, and since their reviews were glowing I decided to jump in. Everyone has been noticing a change in my skin since a week after trying it! I saw less wrinkles, and my skin glows, but I thought it was just user bias lol. The retinoid doesn't irritate my skin, even though it's a stronger product than retinol, and its nice fragrance is so light it's hard to notice. I'm so delighted to find the whole package in Open Formula. This is definitely inexpensive for the value you get. Nice sized bottle, and it'll last a long time. Makes a great gift, too.

So far so good - yes it is oil based, but don’t be afraid of oil on your skin. I have crazy dry skin - a few years ago I discovered oil was a wonderful antidote. We oil leather so why not our skin? I made the mistake of apply this to my eyelids which has then a bit red and irritated. Avoiding that going forward, but the rest of my face is tolerating this well and I have sensitive skin. I was pleased to see the eyelids were irritated because it helped verify it is a nice dose of retinoid. Great price point too so I’m going to stick with it.

I love the Open Formula retinoid serum. After daily use my skin is soft and wrinkles around my eyes are diminished. I use it at night and wake up to smooth skin. Sometimes I use it under my makeup and it gives my complexion a glow.

Seems to work well for now! Interesting to see over time

Just started using it. More later.Edit: I’ve been using it for a year a few times a week but don’t feel any difference. The glycerine like base liquid has an oily feel but isn’t sticky and quickly absorbs, which is good, but I’m not sure it’s doing anything useful at all.

I have tried quite a few serums and have been disappointed. Most were too sheer and very drying. Open Formula is different. For one, it’s not drying. I have dry skin and this serum alone is enough to keep my skin moisturized. My skin is still supple and hydrated in the morning. Since I just started using this product I don’t know how effective it is in removing the dark spots, but I like the way this serum makes my skin feels.

I only just started using Open Formula Retinoid so I can't say it will work long term. But after applying it in the evening I found my skin smoother, and the product is a very light oil, not greasy or heavy. Looking forward to seeing long term results.
