My son Greg didn’t find a single door, cabinet, or closet to latch these to. He found a living room closet to lock… kind of. The closet door latch locks except the doors open even though these latches lock! My son Gregory puts door stoppers under the doors that work.

Works as expected. Does not runst. Locks well but I wish it was a little more stronger.

GOOD QUALITY

Luckily I have use for these latches, where they should work just fine in keeping a 2nd floor Hall closet door closed that keeps popping open_ The house is 110 yrs old and the door is made of old cedar, it's pretty thin - much thinner than a modern door_ That said, my original reason for purchasing these latches was to bolster security on the back door of the house_ Not from people, but from Bears_ I live between 2 Mountains in a remote area on the far end of a tiny town, and Bears traverse my yard frequently, so until I can get a fence up and make repairs to the old stone wall out back (i recently bought the house) .... I just thought this would be a quick fix to have a bit more peace of mind from any unwanted furry creatures from invading the house_ However, these latches are NOT up to that task_ I could tell immediately upon opening the package that these were cheap and made (apparently) of Indian Metal_ i bent one with my hands using not a lot of pressure_ I am a big guy, and my wife says i'm an ogre and don't know my own strength, but if I can bend them easily....so can a Bear_ I'll be spending a bit more $$ for latches on my next go round_ But if you need them to just keep a cabinet door latched.....these will work

When I want to be Alone

These are EXTREMELY thin metal, and the slide, knob and plates are hollow, thin sheets (imagine a thin cake pan or cookie pan turned upside down), formed and sized to resemble solid bolts and look substantial. You can actually look through the center of the bolt, and also the knob used to slide the bolt. They are not what you would expect when you look at the photo. These were returned, as they will not be as secure as necessary.

Very nice locks so glad i bought them.
