Works very well, I wish it was a bit wider for toasts.

I have 2 twin boys and I bought this to make them fast clean grilled cheeses, what I mean by clean is effortless and not getting a pan dirty, or turning stove on, etc. This thing is like a grilled cheese microwave in comparison to the old pan grill method. way faster way cleaner. I use franz 9 grain bread which is like daves killer bread, I have not used bagels or anything else so I cant say what else it handles. I bought the normie size but it will do 2 grill cheeses at once in about 4 min. I also needed a toaster when I bought this which is another thing I like about this is its also just a toaster and it cooks even and good no complaints.

Got this Nostalgia Coca-Cola grilled cheese toaster mainly because the red Coke branding looked cute and I was tired of dirtying a pan every time the kids wanted grilled cheese. It works surprisingly well. You butter the bread, assemble the sandwich, drop it in the little baskets, set the dial, and a few minutes later you’ve got two nicely toasted, melty sandwiches. The baskets hold everything in place so the cheese doesn’t just slide out, and cleanup is way easier than I expected just pull out the baskets and the drip tray and wipe them down. The adjustable dial is helpful once you figure out your preferred setting (I usually go a little higher for that extra crisp). Cool-touch exterior is nice, and the whole thing feels sturdy enough for regular use. The Coke design is a fun bonus if you like retro stuff. Only reason it’s not 5 stars: it’s a bit of a one-trick pony and takes up counter space for something you’ll mostly use for grilled cheese (though you can experiment with other fillings). Also, thicker sandwiches need a little care so they fit and cook evenly. Overall though, it’s a solid little appliance that makes a classic comfort food ridiculously easy. Happy with the purchase.

The Nostalgia Coca-Cola Grilled Cheese Toaster seemed to be a fire hazard to me. I'm not sure who got that through QC. I only used it once and it began smoking real bad and set off the smoke detector. The butter and cheese melts all down into the toaster and there's no way possible to get it clean. The baskets are removable and you can clean them, but not the inside where the butter and cheese melts down into it. Not only is it not safe to use, it's an easy way to get an infestation of bugs in your kitchen because of its design not allowing one to completely clean it. The idea is great, just not practical. I sure wanted it to work because with only me, it gets old getting out a frying pan just to grill one sandwich. The slot size was okay, that wasn't the problem, except for when it came to cleaning it . It didn't take very long at all to toast the sandwich, maybe a minute or so, but I don't believe the product is durable enough to uphold the temperature control without starting a fire. I asked my housekeeper if she thought she could get it clean and she said probably not but she would take it and try. Her son ended up wanting it and I never asked how it worked out for him as a lot of men don't worry so frivolously about the things most females do. I'm like, when I give something away, I explain the condition and it's on them after that. The value for the money would have been fantastic had it not been a safety issue for me. I didn't try to use it to toast just plain bread as that isn't what I bought it for; therefore, I have no idea how long it will take to toast a simple piece of bread. For one sandwich with two slices of cheese on it and butter on the sides recommended, it only took 1-2 minutes before the smoke alarm was set off. I'm a huge fan of Nostalgia products and own most of them; however, this one was a no-go for me. It looks pretty, though. (-;

This little nostalgic grilled cheese maker is so cool and makes amazing grilled cheese sandwiches! I love it and glad I purchased it.

We bought this for my parents for a gift. They saw them in the USA but didn't have room in their suitcase to bring it home. They were very happy to receive it. It does a great job and they use it daily! They say it makes a great grilled cheese!

It is somewhat misleading that this toaster is sold on Amazon uk. I should have noted the absence of UK reviews but was so happy to have found this toaster that I did not pay attention. So here is the first and probably last review from the UK: the toaster cannot be used in UK unless one is prepared to spend an additional £100 for a current converter. It comes with a US plug for a start, which per se is not a big deal as one can purchase a cheap travel adaptor for less that £10. However, and this is a big however, as this is an appliance, not a gadget, that can only be plugged into an American 120V socket, one needs a “step down” converter too to plug it in into a UK 240V wall socket. And a big converter too as this is an appliance that is a 600w power. These converters are big, heavy and bulky… finding the space for it is not easy or aesthetically pleasing.. even before factoring in that buying one will set you back another £90 at least (the cheaper ones are for appliances only up to 200w approx.) I wish the listing for this toaster had made it more obvious that this was not a toaster for the UK market. A great pity that this is the case because the toaster is lovely even if made entirely of plastic. I cannot comment on its other functions as I have not been able to plug it in.

It works as well as advertised. You need thin bread in order to make the sandwiches properly but it makes good sandwiches.
