Perfect Learning Tool for Toddler
I first saw these at the daycare my son goes to. After watching him do so well with the flashcards I knew I had to get them so he could keep learning the animals at home too. My son absolutely loves these flashcards. He loves them as much if not more than his normal toys and he will sit there and go through them any chance he gets. These cards have more than the usual expected animals so children can be exposed to them and recognize them earlier on. I would highly recommend these! Plus they are so worth the money.

Nice pictures, good colors
I have just received these flash cards, but they appear to be very good quality. The pictures clearly and immediately depict each animal (actually better than some photographs that often are too dark to show details properly). The back of each card has good information about the animal. My year and a half old grandson is too young for unsupervised play with these, but he loves for me to point to pictures and say the words -- I think these cards will work well for us.

Great for toddlers, fun and educational
I bought these cards for my 2 year old specifically when we travel. He loves them and they hold his interest for about 20-30 minutes. We play with them and I teach him the information as we play. For example, we played with the cards today before a birthday party where there was going to be a petting zoo. We found the cards of the animals that would be there. My son really imagines with these too. We have had them for about a month and he plays with them almost every day, They are sturdy (I wish they were a little thicker but they are solid.) I bought another set for the car and one for the house. I highly recommend.

A nice variety of animals that you may not find in most flash card decks. Professionally illustrated in full color. High detail.
These cards are pretty good. I will honestly say that I purchased them for the Panda, alone. It is difficult to find a decent panda when it comes to flash cards. I'm impressed with the workmanship placed into these cards. They are hand illustrated, high quality drawings. The backs of the cards contain a wealth of information about each animal. There truly is a nice variety of creatures in this pack. The grasshoppers, chipmunks, and armadillo are especially great because I also think those are unusual to find in a deck. These are very professionally illustrated pictures that accurately depict the animals. I quite honestly cannot complain about any aspect of this item.

Basic introductory flash cards
These are illustrations not photographs. The animals etc presented are very basic, such "fish". This is great for young children to be introduced to animals. I plan on using them for sorting, e.g. land vs water animals, mammals vs avians, fresh water vs saltwater (marine)...

Great cards!!!
For some reason all my kiddos loved these. My 18 year old remembers said ..oh those were my favorite. I started showing them these as soon as he was interested... loved. Didnt have them for my 9 year old as a baby. But he is Autistic started reading at two. So glad I found these for our "super surprised baby" nothing like having you oldest turn 18 two days after giving birth...literally starting over. The older kiddos are already showing the newest addition these cards. Sweet! First words might be "penguin" haha! I bought a second set gave to my sister... she quickly wished they were laminated her 18 month old wants to chew on them.

Wonderful illustrations, great facts... fun for a variety of ages!
I bought this set of flash cards when my son was not quite one year old. Now, two years later, the cards are still in great shape and he's a whiz when it comes to animals. We love the realistic illustrations (no cartoon-type drawings!) that show these animals in action. On the back are a variety of facts about each animal, so even when my son's attention span only allowed him to look at each card for a few seconds, I could quickly scan the back of the card for a quick animal tidbit to share with him. We especially like knowing what each animal likes to eat.The cards are constructed very well. They're about the thickness of a playing card, and while some have complained that they're flimsy and tear easily, we've found this set to hold up very well to the antics of a toddler. We also bring the set regularly to church, road trips, and airplanes, and they've stood the test of time and travel.I'm looking forward to purchasing other sets by this company. You really can't beat the price for an educational toy!

Images of animals are pretty realistic compared to the other brands
Images of animals are pretty realistic compared to the other brands. A great variety of animals are represented from common pets like cats to farm animals like cows to zoo animal like zebras and to aquatic animals like the octopus. The name of each animal is listed with the image. Some facts about the animal are also listed on the back of each card.BTW, my packet came with the penguin and jaguar on front, not the dolphin pictured. This did not bother ma any.... The dolphin is still inside on a card, just is not on the external cover.Only cons are:- two cards are generic "birds" and "fish." Either list a specific species OR include cards for all the general categories (mammal, bird, reptile, amphibian, fish, invertebrates).- most of the cards represent mammals. I would have liked to see more variety. Maybe the company could offer a second pack of cards with additional animals like invertebrates, more fish, fungi, plants, protist, bacteria, etc. Together these two packs would be AWESOME!
