Great medium action with fast tip
This pole has been great! I was a little put off by some of the reviews, but I have landed a 5lb walleye with this pole. A few smallmouth all around 2 lbs.. It's a medium action rod with a fast soft tip. Great for jigging, cranking, and swimbait fishing, bobber fishing too of course.Update*I just snagged a 10 lbs carp with a little walleye jig, and this pole held up great!!!Two thumbs up*

Good rod on the go!
I have a collapsible baitcaster from this company and it isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty good. I was in the market for a collapsible spinning rod and saw this one. For the price you might not have very high expectations, but already owning the caster, I had a feeling this one would be good.I ordered the 6” rod. When the package was delivered I saw how short the box was and was immediately very happy. It’s much shorter when collapsed than my old collapsible rod, even though it’s a foot longer.I ordered silver and am happy I did. It looks great with my Cadence spinning reel (black). It’s very easy to extend and collapse. And it actually has some pretty decent action. I’ve had some rods that are either a steel rod or a wet noodle. This is a perfect “do most” rod for keeping in the truck. It also fits in a backpack very easily.I’m very happy with it so far. I took it out today and used it for several hours. Caught a few small LMB on it. Handled great. Already recommended it to a friend. Definitely order one if you’re in need of a collapsing rod.*Update* After several trips out with this rod I noticed the base foam/cork piece had fallen off. It it’s now left with a threaded tube with no padding. I looked everywhere hoping it fell off in my truck or a bag but it’s gone. Fairly annoyed that the piece was threaded on without some thread locker or something to keep it secure. Taking one star off for it.

Convenient
Honestly, I don’t like telescope rod. This one is my favorite and I do not regret purchasing and especially because it is at the right price and very convenient to have in the car, backpack, wherever.Second time using it landed a 21 inch walleye.Okay sooo months of having this, it was my fault because I let the butt end of the rode where the cork is get too loose at some point and now it’s lost forever. I wish I would have used a seal on it but it’s too late now. I ordered a new one and and new model doesn’t allow the back ends to come apart. Which is great

good fishing rod
This rod is too stiff for the fishing I do these days. This is not the fault of the rod, of course. After fishing with it earlier I did some trial and error tests and found it works best with 15lb mono line and 1 1/4oz weight. That is far too heavy for the 10" trout I fish for. Once again, this is not the fault of the rod. I have two concerns, neither of which would lower the rating of this item. The first is the reel seat is a bit flimsy and I am afraid it will crack over time. This is not a big deal as it is a matter of 10 minutes to put on a new real seat. The plastic guides are another possible problem, They appear to have inserts but that might just be cast plastic made to look like it. I fear these might not take the weather well or be cut by the line. It takes me about 1/2 hour to replace a sec of guides so this does not detract from the value. I will use this for river fishing when going after sturgeon and carp. If I were younger I would use it surf fishing also. This is a good fishing rod!

Seems strong and sturdy
Haven’t caught a fish yet bc it’s been cold out but over all seems pretty strong and the cast seems ok bought it just to have something quick I can bring around....but I have to say compared to my higher end lews and duckett it’s pretty heavy I don’t know if it’s all day kinda rod...but like it said it’s just something I wanna have quick access too aka while playing golf hahaha the rod extends and stays in place really well...I will update whe. I catch a fish...the pond I fish We catch 2 to 4 pound bass and on a lucky days 6/7 pounders all day so that will be the true testUpdate 4/20Solid works caught good amount of bass 2-4.5 lbs little heavy but does the trick if u need a rod to quickly take and be compact

Great value but broke
Let me start off by saying this... the rod was great for the money! Now let me say why I only give it 2 stars. Today it broke about 3 inches from the tip guide while reeling in a 2 pound redfish. I was super disappointed because I had high expectations on this rod. I’ve used it probably 10 times previously and caught about 50 redfish on it. I love how it is small it is and turns into a 7 ft rod. I will probably be getting another one just because how cheap it was and like everything products have defects. Do not really let this stop you from buying it. Just wanted to share my issue with it.

Telescope pole works great!
This cheap telescopic fishing pole works great. I paired it with a Shakespeare open cast reel and it works great I will be getting various sizes. This is the way to go for fishing!
