An amazing whisky but in all fairness you may as well stick to Macallan twelves as they taste just as good and you wouldn't really notice the difference. Nice to try though

Recommend it with a dash of water
Smooth & a good malt for the price...........do recommend for a better first taste & lingering after taste to add a dash of water. If you use ice, use the oversized ones as they don't melt as fast a standard pub ice & water it down too much.

Im Geschmack wirkt er sehr exquisit und klar holzig geprägt. Die Eichenoten stehen deutlich im Vordergrund, sind dabei aber gut eingebunden und nie störend oder bitter. Insgesamt ein harmonischer Eindruck mit markanter Holzprägung und sauberem, angenehmem Verlauf.

Guter Whisky – persönlich gefällt mir der 12-Jährige besser
Der Macallan 15 Jahre ist ohne Frage ein sehr hochwertiger Single Malt. Er ist angenehm weich, gut ausbalanciert und bietet schöne Noten von Trockenfrüchten, Vanille und dezenter Eiche. Man merkt sofort die Qualität und die lange Reifezeit – ein Whisky, der absolut rund und sauber daherkommt. Persönlich muss ich jedoch sagen, dass mir der Macallan 12 Jahre geschmacklich etwas besser gefällt. Der 12er wirkt für meinen Gaumen frischer und harmonischer, während der 15-Jährige etwas schwerer und gesetzter ist. Das ist aber ganz klar Geschmackssache, und andere werden es genau umgekehrt empfinden. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchte ich, dass weder der 15-Jährige noch der 12-Jährige gefärbt sind. In Zeiten, in denen Zuckerkulör leider oft Standard ist, ist das ein großes Plus und spricht für die Qualität und Ehrlichkeit von Macallan. Insgesamt ein sehr guter Whisky und ein schönes Geschenk – von mir solide 4 Sterne, auch wenn mein persönlicher Favorit weiterhin der 12-Jährige bleibt.
