Low voltage switch for breadboard experiment
Using this to switch on a LED with a motion detector. Works fine. The PIR signal is 3V and it will work. Also worked with a 3V motor. It also would switch by just touching the gate lead. Leads and heat sink have a dull white color. The leads are a little thin, they fit my breadboard and protoboards.

It's difficult to find the exact specifications/quality MOSFETs for each project, these perfectly fit my LED-controlling needs
Fantastic MOSFETs, these can be particularly difficult to find in person these days, so it's nice to get such a specific/particular model exactly as ordered. These are most certainly 30A 55V MOSFETs that have become a standard part of my LED-controller circuit board builds. Couldn't get by without them!

They will make good relays in the hot rods I build

The only way to drive power ! !
I was using a Darlington pair to drive a LED strip at max. power. The Darlington got hot at low power. But not these MOSFETs.They worked very well. And they're durable.Once I over did the forward current and also forgot to use a heatsink. The device got so hot it burnt my fingers. But it still runs.

Good Product, no Static Mitigation
Nothing wrong with the product itself; they all seem to work fine. It's really nice to have this amazon prime option if I need parts in a jiffy, but the reason for the 3 star review is as follows: ABSOLUTELY NO STATIC MITIGATION. Yeah, after I opened up the manila bubble mailer, there was one of those stretchy light grey sealed plastic things (common in shipping), but within that the parts were just in a standard plastic bag! Not even one of those pink static dissipation bags; just a bog standard clear plastic bag. If you know anything about electronics, this is not how you're supposed to store them.So yeah, good product, inadequate static protection. Are they likely to work? Yes, but seeing how they were stored, I wouldn't have confidence in that.

Easy and efficient
Having never used MOSFETs I was skeptical, but they allow smooth control over my RGB led display

They worked fine until i used them on my main circuit and ...
I was using these to power 2 dc water pumps and 2 solenoid valves. They burned out after one use. The dc pumps ran 12v @ 2 amps max, it was usually 1.58 amps. The Solenoid valve ran 12 v @ 3 amps max, together 1 pump and 1 solenoid valve ran 4.58 amps. They worked fine until i used them on my main circuit and they were outlasted by my tip120 transistors, the whole reason i got these was because the tip120 was running way too hot when operating the solenoid valve i was using but the tip120 ended up outlasting the irfz34n. Maybe because the tip120 was ordered straight from JameCo?

Not a true logic level MOSFET
This is not a true logic level MOSFET. Despite searching for IRLZ34N, these came up and I bought them without noticing the discrepancy. After reading the datasheet, you can probably get away with driving them with 5V, but I wouldn't push a heavy load through them. Why these come to the top when searching for a different part number, or just searching for "logic level MOSFET" escapes me. Now I'm ordering the correct part from MOUSER and paying a heavy shipping penalty to get the part I wanted in the first place.According to the datasheet, it could take up to 4V (Vgs) to only flow 250uA of drain current. The datasheet doesn't specify the Rds(on) with only 5V of gate drive. Good luck, but the IRLZ34 is a much better choice for a microcontroller using 5V, The IRLB8721 should work well with only 3.3V drive.

A great way to control 12v circuits with an Arduino or Pi
I was a bit nervous about using these for switching 12v vehicle electrics from a 5v Arduino after reading suggestions that the trigger voltage may not be high enough. In the end though these fears were unfounded. Currently driving lighting circuit with them but will probably end up replacing some of the relays I've been using too as they've proved to be very robust.

mosfet di potenza
Oggetti con da descrizione, imballaggio ok, tempi di consegna un po' lunghi, purtroppo non li ho montati per il subentrare di altri problemi nel mio modulo ma testati sono ok.
