How do you figure your size?

I spoke with 3M tech support, and the guy explained it like this: "70% of users will fit the size medium. 23% will fit size large. The rest will fall in the small category." I assume that the reason 93% fit medium to large because men typically are the users. I am 6', 225lb guy that wears a medium. My 5'4" wife uses small. I can almost wear a large, but larges are set for people with long faces.

What filters come with it?

None - you order the filters separately. There are several/many different filters depending on what your application is. Simply sawdust? Chemical fumes? Buy the filters that fit your use.

Even after reading the q&a i'm still confused as to which filter i need. i just need dust particle filtration for woodworking. shape/model #?

A set of the 3M P100 filters work great. I use the 2091 model for woodworking. The P is for particulate and the 100 means it filters 100%. For anything with fumes like finishes I use a paint set of filters like the 3M 6001

What is the difference between this mask and the 3m(tm) half facepiece respirator assembly 6291 ?

This one is made with silicone that seals against your face which is more comfortable and durable. If you plan on wearing it often or for long periods of time get this one.
