Does not smell
I didn’t expect socks to make this much of a difference, but these merino wool ankle socks genuinely changed how my feet feel during long days. From the minute I put them on, they felt soft and cushioned without being bulky. What stood out to me most is how well they manage moisture—after hours of wearing them in shoes and boots, my feet still felt dry and comfortable, not overheated or sweaty. They also don’t hold odor the way regular socks do. Even after a full day of use, they still felt fresh. The fit stays secure—no slipping, no bunching, and no annoying seams rubbing against my toes. They have a slightly thicker feel than normal athletic socks, but that’s what gives them the comfort and padding. Overall, these feel like premium socks made for people who actually need performance, not just basic coverage. They cost more than regular cotton socks, but after wearing them, I can say they’re worth it for the comfort alone—and the durability makes it feel like a good investment. What I liked: Keeps feet dry and odor-free naturally Soft but supportive cushioning Comfortable for all-day wear in any footwear What to know: Thicker than basic socks (in a good way) Best for performance use, not thin dress shoes

These are my summer wool sock “keepers”.
I own a lot of these, and they are my default three-season socks (not winter). They are thin, but I don’t want thick socks if it’s not cold. I have small feet (size 6 women's/size 4 men’s or kids), and these fit true to size. They are soft enough for me. I have had some of mine for a year. (I machine wash these socks in a netted laundry bag in cold water, and hang them to dry.) I haven’t had any holes yet. I think they are comfortable and let me still wear wool socks in summer. Honestly, wool makes such a difference to my feet. I am much more comfortable with other materials use to buy. To me, wool is so worth it and a lot more comfortable in wool socks.

Perfect Lightweight Summer Merino Wool Socks!!!!!
I love these socks!!!! I live in Texas, where we start having 100+ degree dates as early as May, and they often continue until late September (or even early October some years). It's still in the mid to upper 90's everyday well into the first week of October this year (2025). These are the perfect socks for exercising in summer heat down here. They are super lightweight, and they keep my feet dry and cool on long hot summer walks and hikes and also working out at the gym. I have actually ordered these socks twice so I have enough to wear almost every day in the summer. They have held up well and are very comfortable. Of course, I also have heavier Merino wool socks for the winter months. This is honestly one of the very best things I have ever purchased from Amazon, and I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a lightweight Merino wool sock (which you should be if you aren't)!!!

Cautiously optimistic that these are going to be great socks
I tried this on a morning run in South Florida, about 70° and significant humidity. Oddly, my hands were feeling a bit sweaty as I got into the run, but my feet didn’t. I got home, remove the socks and checked my feet. They were fairly dry. The socks seemed to be a good weight, maybe a little on the thicker side, but that probably helps them wear better. They have some cushioning around the toe and heel, which feels like nice reinforcement for areas of high wear. After I cleaned up from the run, I pulled out another pair and put those babies on. My feet felt really good. I’ll check back and update this review once I put some more mileage on them to see how they do long-term.

These will be perfectly acceptable for some
I know the stars suggest a problem with these socks, but I gave this rating based SOLELY on my needs. These are a perfectly acceptable sock, just insufficient for what I was looking for... hard to do with "stars". Although made out of "90% Merino Wool", and likely capable of acting as a perfectly good 'workout' sock for some, I prefer a more cushioned running/workout sock. I run but I'm not a marathon runner, so ultra thin socks are not on my radar, and although these CLEARLY state "Thin"... my experience with other brands of Merino Wool socks suggest these would suite my needs.... I was mistaken. These are actually thin to the point I would call them a good sock for marathon runners or for guys that wear penny loafer type shoes with ankle socks, they feel like a dress sock to me. There's absolutely nothing wrong with these socks, they seem to be well made and should last due to the percentage of Merino Wool, they're just not the sock for me. IF you're interested in an alternative that has some cushioning, I ended up purchasing several (8) pairs of both ankle/hiking Merino Wool socks from another vendor (Onke) AND some thick Merino Wool hiking socks from RTZAT, which both of those are exactly as I expected with the right amount of cushion for the type of sock... at least for what I want/need them for. I hope this helps.

Very good value - 90% Merino Wool hard to find!
Rarely leave reviews but IMO, these socks are AWESOME. 3 pairs for $15 can't be beat. It's insane how hard it is to find decent socks these days-- most are either polyester garbage 6 packs for $15 which fall apart immediately, or premium brands gouging you for $20 for a single pair. These RZTATs are in that middle pricing sweet spot at $5/pair. The most impressive thing is these RZTATs are *90%* Merino Wool. Look at some of the other big brands (Darn Tough etc) and their merino wool content has declined-- they used to be 65%, now many styles are only 45-50% merino. This RZTAT manufacturer can afford this I imagine because these socks are not full crew length, and the socks are indeed fairly thin-- but they are not as thin as, say, stockings (as one reviewer claimed). So less overall material costs. But merino wool is far superior to cotton/polyester as a fabric, and 90% merino is one of the highest percentages I could find anywhere. The 10% nylon gives them the perfect amoutn of elasticity (and nylon >> polyester). These should be great wearing with casual sneakers in the summertime, working out etc. I actually bought a pair of Darn Toughs (Darn Tough Light Hiker Micro Crew, only 43% merino!) socks along with these. The Darn Toughs are also this "thin wool" style as well, but are full crew length. The Dts cost $21 for one pair. Honestly, these RZTATs are more comfortable-- the Darn Toughs (size Large) are quite tight, almost like compression socks, though still better than typical polyester garbage of course. The one advantage the DTs have is they do have a little padding under the balls and heel, these are unpadded. But if you're wearing with comfy sneakers that's irrelevant IMO. I'm a size 10 Mens shoe, the Large RZTAT socks fit me perfectly, not too tight, not too loose. I only wish they made this exact style in a crew/quarter crew length. The extra materials costs might push them up to $8/pair or something. But I'd gladly stock up on them. In the meantime, I'll probably buy another pack of these quarter/ankle socks.

great socks for summer
Socks arrived well packed. Had been searching for a sock that does not cause my feet to sweat and have the socks stick to them. They are thin enough to be breathable even this summer-indoors and outdoors. Will be ordering more in different colors.

Warm, Lightweight, and Very Comfortable
These merino wool socks are incredibly comfortable and feel great from the moment you put them on. The material is soft, breathable, and does an excellent job wicking moisture, making them perfect for workouts or daily wear. The cushioning is just right—not too thick, not too thin—and they stay in place without slipping. The quality feels premium, and they wash well too.

Very comfortable and warm
Socks are comfortable and warm. Can hardly feel the toe seam. Wish they have crew-sock length for business wear.

Super warm
No regrets. Thick winter socks that keep my feet warm in cold temperatures.

Don’t last because they are very thin
These socks are comfortable but don’t last much longer than the 30 day return window. Won’t buy again.
