Eureka-Hanayama-Cast Chess Silver Bishop (Bishop) 1

This piece is, of course, absolutely beautiful. Just one of Hanayama's trademarks. The hidden mechanism makes these pieces wonderful to solve. Although it is the same with all the chess, the solutions vary in complexity. I had a very hard time figuring out this one. I loved the challenge. After all, they wouldn't be much fun otherwise. Even after knowing how these pieces work, it's still sometimes difficult to do again. Would recommend this to all collectors.

My son collects these chess piece puzzles. Good puzzle as well as good looking.

I bought this because of its streamlined looks. the puzzle is pretty clever itself as well. Not too hard to figure out but the looks are superb.

Medium difficulty. Solved within 15 minutes. I had attempted after solving the more difficult Kong and queen. Looks nice as a decoration or paperweight.

Elite puzzle

This was a gift and my son absolutely love it, I bought 3 other chess pieces for his collection.

As others have said, this thing has a hair trigger that jams. For what it costs ($35) and for the reputation it should be flawless every single time. I was able to solve and take apart, but the mechanism jammed and would not release to reassemble properly. I will return and not replace because of other similar reviews with the same issue. This puzzle is too expensive to risk a similar breakdown and the hassle of returning on any replacement piece when the replacement fails.
