Burt's Bees Baby Bee Poison Ivy Soap - Fragrance Free - 2 oz

I will start off by saying that i am so allergic to poison ivy and get it almost every year. It is the worst experience one can go through. I got it this year really bad and I am also 7 months pregnant. It is very hard for me to resist itching since it has completly covered my body. My boobs, neck, chin and this time i actually got it in my eye and it swelled shut and i also got it all over my mouth and chin. I have had poison ivy now for about a week and a half and this stuff is awesome. I can not use the awesome steroid cream my boyfriend got, because I am pregnant so i tried this soap. This stuff really helps with the itching and it really dries it out. HOW TO USE: The best way to use this if you already have the bubbly rash everywhere is to just put a drop of water on your fingers and rub it on the soap then onto the effected area then let it dry on your skin. OMG it feels amazing. I wouldnt reccomennd taking it into the shower since its an $8 tiny bar of soap. Totally worth every penny, but taking it into the shower would waste alot of it. Use 2 to 3 times daily. We bought 2 bars, and will always use this on it. Hope this helps!!

My girlfriend is extremely sensitive to poison ivy, poison sumac, etc. She contacted some of it a few weekends ago and has been scratching ever since. Patches of it looked pretty painful---red and "angry." Worse, it seemed to keep spreading---a couple days after exposure, there's some on her leg, but wait, a couple days later and now it's on her neck. So I ordered her some of this. Within just a couple days of use it's subsiding. Kudos for a great product! By the way the bars we got are dark brown, not orange as in the picture.

In Colorado I've never seen poison ivy, but do get the occasional mosquito bite. I also have a mild form of eczema on my hands. This soap works for well for both of these. This fall, I was stung by a bee and discovered I have a life-threatening allergy. My whole hand was swollen and red. Once the pain subsided and the itch set in, this soap helped with the itch from that as well. Scrub up and don't rinse very well. A huge relief. The small is not flowery, not medicinal, but is notable. Not bad or good and fades when dry.

I had poison ivy a few times this summer. I have looked at several types of poison ivy lotions, soaps, etc. I had tried everything it seems this summer. I decided to try this soap because the reviews raved about it. I will highly recommend this bar of soap to everyone. It does not smell lovely at all. However, it does give you great relief from the urge to itch and it will quickly dry up the oozing patches on your skin.This soap is awesome. At least it worked for me. I will be buying this soap in bulk for next summer and have one on hand for every sink in my house. :)

This is by far the best treatment for bites, rashes that leave you miserable from scratching nonstop!!!! Works much better than benadryl, and hydrocortisone. Easy to take with you when traveling because it is not liquid and small in size. Lasts a long time..It was the only thing that helped when I acquired hundreds of sand flea bites ......don't leave it where your dog can get it, they tend to want to eat it....wish this was around when I was raising my kids!

I discovered this soap at a Whole Foods many years again. I was tired of getting a nasty case of poison ivy every spring so I used this soap when I came in from yardwork - no poison ivy even though I knew I touched it. That was 7 years ago. I have a bar of this soap at the kitchen sink as well as the shower - and only a touch of poison ivy here and there when I haven't used the soap in the shower. I used to get poison ivy EVERY summer. I would stay inside all summer, only leaving when absolutely necessary, and STILL manage to magically get it on my entire arm. However, that's all changed now. Thanks to this little miracle. If the gods exist - they sent this beautiful little savior to us all. If you have any problems with poison ivy ever, get this. It helps to prevent and treat poison ivy. I went from months of agony to a week at most.

**Fair warning, I used two different products, but escaped largely unscathed.**So I went for a run and got ensnared in a small forest of poison ivy. I'm in shorts and I'm surrounded by waist high poison ivy. DOOMED. It wasn't a case of did I touch it, it was a case of what do I do now to avoid a month of blisters and welts?First, I ran to someone's house and begged for use of their garden hose and some regular soap. Cold water is the way to go when dealing with poison ivy, you don't want to open up your skin pores with hot water. After a thorough scrubbing I ran back to my car, drove home, and jumped in my own shower with a product called Technu. Once that was done, I started researching other treatments and came across this soap. I ordered some (for future use) and ran off to Whole Foods to buy some for immediate use. Started using this and had cold showers twice a day for a week.The result? I got three small blisters behind one knee (probably just an area I missed during my wash offs). I will say that this soap seemed to help dry out the sores and make them go away more quickly, and I will certainly be incorporating this soap into poison ivy treatments in the future.To help relieve itching once there is a breakout, switch the shower from cold to as hot as you can take. The itchy areas will burn out of their reserves of histamine and you'll remain itch free for several hours. Do not take hot showers prior to a breakout, as this can cause the oils to spread and/or make your skin pores open accelerating the absorption process.
