Great ankle brace
Updates at bottom ~~~~~I have been searching for an ankle brace for couple years now (on and off) but haven't been able to find one I like, this one has been the closest match for me that I can use everyday and on the court. Our experience with the company started bad when they sent the $34 model that is just the smaller portion instead of the $134 full brace with the piece that comes on and off for additional support. The company quickly fixed their mistake and send us the correct brace in exchange for the one I received originally. Why I need it - I have rsd/crps in my left ankle with micro fractures that never healed and I roll my ankle often when playing school and club volleyball and braces tend to help but some cause more pain then do good.Pros~ easy on, can put on in under a minute and am finished way before the rest of my team mates.~ fits in most shoes, I haven't had one shoe it doesn't fit in yet.~ can be switched between tall and short brace fairly easy~ great quality~ great customer service, fast response time under 2 hours email response both times i contacted them after hours~ provides maximum support, WITHOUT RESTRICTING MOVEMENT!! Which was a major thing for us as all other braces did a lot of making it harder to play in for me.~ does not tear up shoes! More st braces tear up my volleyball shoes horrible.Cons~ price, at $134 shipped it definitely was not by any means cheap~ takes a little bit to break in. Took about a weeks worth of practices (3 2 hour) practices and a hour every day of wearing it (5 days) to full adjust to it completely and not even notice it is on.~ padding is sturdy and supportive, which is great for a normal injury however with RSD/CRPS my ankle is also very sensitive to touch especially with shoes, socks, bracelets, etc. we put the padding from our old brace and is 100% better.Overall I am extremely happy with this brace it is a life saver somedays and I now am much more confident playing especially with hitting a slide or anytime jumping knowing my ankle won't give out under me. I highly recommend this ankle brace to anyone with an ankle injury who hopes to return to playing their best. It is fully work the cost in my mind and are extremely happy we decided to purchase it.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE 1~ I have been using this brace months now and is still preforming really well, I use the brace on a daily basis and I had been using the gel/foam padding from my last ankle brace and finally made a foam padding very similar to the one provided in shape and design but a little softer in some areas as ankle is very sensitive due to RSD. I did have a small problem with it squeaking after it got caked in mud and went through a creek and I contacted ultra ankle and they quickly came up with an effective solution. some people had said you need tall socks under it however after the first week it was more custom fit to my ankle and was much more comfortable to the point it doesn't rub at all even without socks and is just as comfortable.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Please click helpful if it helped!

FINALLY relief
I never write reviews but had to share. Purchased this for my partner for pain relief. After a bit of trial and error over a week it is nearly erasing his pain. You need to get it SNUG on your foot for the system to work. I was anxious seeing some of the reviews about padding, but I think it is because they aren’t getting a good fit? He says it is a night and day difference once you have it snug.He was advised to use it for a limited amount of time at first. 10 minutes first day, 20 next, and go up as you feel comfortable. That worked for him.An added bonus was our FSA covered the cost.

If you're a petite woman stay away, unless this is better than a full boot
Ankle injury high on my ankle.Wear women's 7.5 US 42 European. Petite ankle / narrow ankle. Regular toe spread. This is marketed as being for women's sizes 7-12. I sincerely doubt this could possibly be useful to any petite woman except perhaps as an alternative to a full boot. With both top straps this was halfway up my ankle, the bottom portion is more than half my foot. Even taking off the top strap portion it is higher than a 'highstep' shoe.I could get the straps snug enough, they've made it small enough for circumference; but it torqued my ankle to pronate inward so badly that in less than an hour my thigh muscles were hyper-fatigued trying to keep my knee in alignment with my foot. I had to constantly focus on stepping heel to full toe foot pad, because the torque is so bad. The plastic rubs on my foot, it may have been fixable with the 'heat it' method for molding. But that won't fix the proportions. If you're at the recovery, rehab, need support to not put full weight on the ankle, and you are a petite female, do not recommend. If you're on crutches but want more flexibility when standing / moving, and something less bulky than a boot. yeah. This might work for you.

Great brace, but trouble with prolonged use for me.
The brace works great for my bad ankle, but the padding isn't that great around the ankle bone. I had to order some horse shoe like pads to surround my ankle bone to keep the brace from putting pressure on them. I use the brace at work on 12 hour shifts. I've found prolonged use is hurting my hip joint because it makes one leg a bit longer than the other "I think". I now only put it on when I'm having severe pain. The ankle pads are a must for me because you have to tighten it down pretty tight to be effective. Some people may have a different experience than I do because my ankle was broken pretty bad about 17 years ago. I have no joint space and limited movement with severe pain. There is not much out there as far as a brace that takes weight off the ankle. I also can't wrap my ankle with any type of ace bandage because of the wear and tear on my ankle. It makes it feel like it's broken again.I'm about 5,9 and 2015 pounds and I had to order the small because the next size up wouldn't tighten down enough to offer support. It also fits into my high top steel toe work boots when I loosen the laces quite a bit.The company's customer service is also top notch. They have great communication when you contact them. You can try it out and exchange it if it doesn't fit quite right. The company also sells replacement Velcro straps for the braces and other items for the brace.

Doesn't fit inside the shoe even with laces removed
Good support, but the idea of wearing it inside my shoe without wearing a shoe 3X my regular size is absurd.
