This is my 3rd pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and as usual they don't disappoint with quality or sun protection. I work and live in a very sunny, very hot place and and when you wear these you almost can't feel them because they are so light. They feel very delicate. I had the same feeling about the Maui Jim Ho'okipa Sport Sunglasses when I first bought them and I was afraid I was going to break them. I bought them in October 2021 and they still have held up nicely. These 'Akau Polarized Rimless Sunglasses are even lighter, or least feel that way. I also thought the green color would be nice for a change. So if I already have 2 other pairs, plus 2 pairs of round lens classic Ray Bans why by these? I guess my thing is sunglasses and I rotate through them during the week just for a different look. I also like the new case. At first I didn't think I would because I have one of their older cases but the cover is coming off. It's easier to pop this one into a pocket or whatever because it folds up flat, nothing to peel off. I highly recommend them.

I’ve worn the Makaha for years. This is my new favorite. Super light, very comfortable. Doesn’t feel like you’re wearing any sunglasses at all. Notepads large enough to hold the glasses off my face with my flat Asian nose. It’s true, the frames are thin and flexible, so you need both hands to put on the sunglasses, but it’s worth the minor inconvenience. I want these in multiple colors with the crystal frame. Perfect!

These are great lightweight comfortable sunglasses. I love how, unlike my other Maui Jims, they have a foldable hinge to fit well in its case. Unlike my other sunglasses from other manufacturers, there is hardly any pressure on the sides of the head, which can create indentations or marks on the sides by the ears. They hold well enough without added pressure. The triangle case is also excellent because it folds flat when so you can slip it in a pocket without bulk. It can also hold a microfiber cloth when folded flat. The magnetic closure is a big bonus since no annoying button stucks out or bulky noisy velcro. The magnetic flap maintains its thiness. I've learned over the years that one type of sunglasses doesn't cut it for everything. Here a few things not to expect. Due to the very flexible and light frame, it can be very challenging trying to put these one with one hand because it lacks enough rigidity. So, putting them on with one hand is not recommended when you are driving or moving really fast on a vehicle or other transport. Although these are called "Sport" I don't recommend wearing these pricey glasses when it is very windy, like on a speedboat or jetski. Because they are very light, they can easily blow off and you can lose them. Understanding that the design of these sunglasses are to be easy on the face, they excellent for running, jogging, walking and other activities without much wind gusts or related jostling. They are very comfortable that you can wear them all day. My other pair of sunglasses will be used for other types of activities but they are not as comfortable as these. Unless I need to do a specific activity, these are one of my go-to sunglasses.

These glasses are almost so light I'm afraid they will blow off my face, lol. They are amazingly clear and excellent for looking down in the water and cutting glare. The only drawback I can see is the are extremely flexible. So much so it usually takes both hands to put them on. But they are comfortable. If you like putting your glasses on your hat these will disappoint you, they fall right off. All in all though they are really good glasses.

No case is provided and glasses are very flimsy Value for money is not good

Great for golfing, I do not have to take them off and on with the shadows. Supper light so can wear them all day and still have the sun protection I need.
