As advertised
This product is amazing. My 6 and 4 year old loved putting it together. They were so excited that it really worked. I would definitely recommend it. They didn't want to paint it, but always can if they decide to later. Loved this item!

Cheap Wood and Nails - Be Careful
UPDATE - After posting this review, the company reached out to us. They apologized for the issues we had and sent a new one as well as refunding our money fully. They also sent a nice little gift for my son. They take pride in the company and products and wanted to make it right. For that alone, I have adjusted the review. The new item they sent was better quality and they made improvements. They are continuously reviewing their product to improve.I would rate this more for a 10+ age range. The wood and nails are very cheap. We had one piece of wood split. Almost all the nails bent. Adult supervision required. Be careful with the pieces, they will split and the nails will bend. Fortunately, they give you 40 nails. We ended up gluing some of the pieces down since they split. Too difficult for my 8 year old. If he were to hammer, it would have split the wood. I'd recommend 10 or older for more precision nailing. The candy, of course, comes out when you get it together. Be sure to sand the rail a lot for smooth gliding. Took about 30 minutes with sanding, gluing split wood back together and such. Not worth the $36 we paid. Could have went and bought higher quality wood and nails ourselves cheaper.

Fun for kids but adult really needs to help.
The kids had fun with the project. However, it was not too kid friendly. The nails were pretty difficult for a kid to hammer in and honestly I figured it could be something the kids could do.... the parent ended up doing most of it because it was pretty difficult to do something that was supposed to be simple. They still had fun though.

Great gift
Got this for my son’s birthday. He loves building things and this was the perfect 30 minute distraction from him and loves that he can keep using it for his gum balls.
