Really Great Gauge!
Really impressed and blown away with this gauge. I had gauges in my tuner cars in the early 2000s, non-digital ones. A LOT has changed since then! The install was so easy. Found my OBD-II sensor (located right under my steering wheel) and simply plugged this unit into it. I tucked the wires under the dash and ran the main cable up the side panel (easy snap off side panel in my Toyota hatchback). Used the 2-sided tape provided (it is good quality tape, I have no doubt it’ll hold…and if it doesn’t, I just use some 3M) and that was that! The screen gives you so many options for your display. I picked: Water Temp, Battery Voltage, Average MPG, and Oil Temp (my dash cluster doesn’t give me these readings detailed so that’s why I wanted a gauge, to give me real-time readings. I also liked that I could swap out LED colors of pretty much everything on this unit. I was able to match my interior dash colors and accent my under dash LEDs as a secondary color.Really impressed with this unit. If you are hesitant, don’t be. This was a great addition to my car upgrades!

Very impressed. Better than a scangauge.
I’ll update this as I go along, and try this in several vehicles.Tried this initially in a 2010 Mini Cooper non-turbo model. I’m impressed with the quality of the display, the fluid refresh rate of the data (some monitors can be painfully slow and clunky), and how customizable the display is.As a mechanic, I wanted something so I can readily see coolant temp, voltage, and other data readily, as most instrument clusters nowadays are so dumbed down, you can’t see any of this.I wanted something more modern than a scangauge (nice product, but terrible and outdated display). This fits the bill.If you plug this in, and it does not shut off automatically, there is a wire coming off the included OBD connector that can be wired to a “hot with key on” wire.Overall, very happy. Will update as I go along.Update: can confirm does not work with a 2000 buick Lesabre, which makes sense, due to older obd2 protocol. Will try in a 2004 Mini Cooper soon.

Best in class
Slightly complicated, but after the learning curve…you can’t buy better. Works great, smooth, and bright. You won’t be let down.

The OBD/CAN gauge that DEFI never made.
I did research before purchase on compatibility and CAN PID creation. The most difficult part was buying from a company that copies a legendary JDM gauge supplier. The fact that it used DEFI link style mounting system was a plus. The GUI takes some getting used to, with 3 buttons and a no touch screen. But there is much customization and the sequential LED & gauge displays (DEFI influenced) look. The newer models ship with USB mother board not TF card. There is no data logging capability other than the performance testing. There are custom PIDs on the chinese website along with Firmware updates.I recommend using a 12V adapter for ACC power to simplify operation and provide a startup/shutdown screen. The CAN ability allows for a fairly decent analog gauge update sweep. The digital value updates would be better for slower OBD2 communications, as there is no complete vehicle listing. There is an austrailian dealer on facebook that has confirmed use on a '13 Subaru WRX and a BRZ/FFS/86.

Works for 2005 Honda Civic
The product title/description is written to hedge the seller's liability and reduce the chance of returns, but this does work for my 2005 Honda Civic despite the product page saying it will not. Not every data point is available of course, but the main ones are, such as MPH, RPM, water temp, voltage, etc. Gas tank and air/fuel ratio and some other ones do not work, but they are not the main reason I bought this. The reason I bought this was that some Civic models do not have an RPM gauge on the stock cluster. Additionally, I have had several battery and charging issues over the years despite the battery light never alerting me. Now, I can see my RPM and see my voltage easily. The display did not require connecting to a fuse like some cars do, it automatically turns off when the car turns off, and turns on when the car turns on. The display is surprisingly good, easy to see in any weather condition without being overly flashy.

I returned it
Didn't work for my Subaru outback 1999. So I returned it. Would have been cool though. Felt like complete garbage though. Felt like it was a dollar store item that I paid whatever this price was for. Anyway stay cute like me!

Fast update rate
Ordered the CAN based guage for 2006 & up but the box shows non-CAN based OBD/pre 2006.not sure what protocol the guage i have is using but when tested on a 2007 tacoma & 2006 GTO it boots up quick & has fast enough updates the data is actually useful.just a heads up.the screen is polarized & is not visible when wearing sunglasses and looking directly at it from the front.it is a bit smaller than it looks in some pics. its not tiny but small enough it would be hard to use instead of a OEM cluster on a swapoverall pretty impressive little gadget, especially considering the cost & ease of install

Fantastic product
I was surprised by the quality of this product I didn’t expect it to be as cool as it is. Great resolution and I can’t notice any sort of lag. MPH value did have to be adjusted a little to be completely accurate with my vehicle which is why accuracy got 4 stars. Other than that the customization options are endless and you can set this to be EXACTLY how you like. And to top it off you can do 0-60 time, 0-100, 1/4 mile and it’s super fun and easy. Doesn’t come with a manual but it’s very self explanatory and easy to figure out as it only has 3 buttons. Super Happy
