I have been searching for YEARS for a replacement for my previous favorite SPF lip balm — the Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm in the color Sunny Berry (which was reformulated and absolutely STINKS now). I am happy to report I FINALLY FOUND IT. So delighted with this product! Literally hits all the marks for me! I am quite surprised by the only 4 star rating, but I do think this kind of product is not for everyone. So, here were my parameters for replacing my previous fav and why this product is so ideal for me and my needs (if you feel the same, then absolutely buy it) — I wanted… - a stick lip balm (not a squeeze tub) - buildable color (I don’t like opaque lip products, I like to control color payoff) - a neutral rosy color (everyday wearable) - SPF - no weird scent or taste - can be used on my cheeks I really wanted both a grab and go product for my no make up days that I could swipe on my lips and cheeks for instant color and protection, but also something with enough “oomf” that I could also use it in a more elaborate makeup routine too. The hardest thing for me on my hunt has been finding a color that works for my skin tone — often times these tinted lip balms are either too red, too pink, too orange, or too berry. I always looked clownish when I wore them. I have a very “olive” tone to my skin so the list of colors that work on me is very slim… I wanted a neutral, rosy pink with a touch of mauve and the color blush is quite literally PERFECT!!! None of the other colors appeal to me but this one is everything I could hope for. The texture is also great. Very soft and hydrating. Feels like next to nothing on the lips. It’s perfectly sheer with a nice buildability (see pics for 1 swipe vs 3). It does clump a little bit with the application but not something that bothers me as it easily smooths out with another swipe or my finger. Though it should be mentioned that this is not a product for someone who prefers something with high color payoff and precision — neither of which I wanted which is why this works for me! Also love the packaging! Chic silver, easy to roll up and down. No notes. NOW for my two very minor critiques — I do still consider this to be as perfect as I could hope for but there is always room for improvement! The price and the amount of product that it comes with feels slightly disproportionate… for reference the old formula of the Neutragena lip balm (which does edge this one out still ever so slightly RIP though this color is superior) was only $10 for the same amount. I see myself going through this like once a month or every other month since I plan to use on my lips and cheeks regularly. HOWEVER you can use your HSA/FSA to pay for this and again… have not found anything comparable so I’m willing to pay a higher price tag for such a lovely product. Long brain dump of thoughts, but goodness I am so relieved my search is over! If you are reading this as fellow old formula neutragena fan… rejoice!

I’ve been loving this tinted lip balm! It gives my lips a pretty hint of color while keeping them soft and moisturized. It’s easy to throw on without a mirror, and the natural tint makes it perfect for everyday wear. This is my second time I purchase this item and color.

The color and feel of the balm was great- The only challenge I had was the tune wouldn’t go down after application ad onion Nd manually push product back into the tube - not good option for a $25 lip balm - would purchase again if it retracted like a normal balm

Poor Quality, Undersized, and Definitely Not Worth $26 I purchased the MDSolarSciences Crystal Lip Balm SPF to wear during my daily 5-mile walks. Before purchasing, I saw several reviews mentioning that the balm splits, but I assumed those experiences were probably isolated incidents. Unfortunately, I should have listened to them. The balm arrived very well packaged, including a protective cap over the product. However, the moment I removed the cap, I could already see that the balm was split. I extended it slightly so I could at least apply it and get a feel for the product. The texture itself is actually quite nice—but as soon as I retracted the balm, it split even further, exactly as numerous other reviewers have described. At $26, this is not an inexpensive lip balm, particularly considering the tube is also noticeably smaller than a standard-size lip balm. At this price point, I expect significantly better product quality and durability. MDSolarSciences, when multiple customers are reporting the same issue with the balm splitting, this is something your Manufacturing and Quality teams should be addressing. Premium pricing should come with premium—or at minimum, reliable—quality. Unfortunately, I cannot consider this product a good value for the money. Between the poor structural quality, the smaller-than-standard size, and the high price, it simply does not justify the cost. And one final point: despite what some reviews suggest, this absolutely tastes like sunscreen.

Gotta protect the entire face including lips from the harsh sun so I recently purchased this in Blush. Didn’t take me long to realize I need one in my purse, gym bag plus that drawer near the door where the key fobs are kept (we all have one) so I just ordered a couple more. I can’t speak to other shades in this line but Blush is the perfect daytime lip color for my fair skin - both outdoors and indoors. Goes on nicely and has the perfect sheen - highly recommend!

Feels nice on the lips but the holder isn't designed very well. It has a plastic " ledge" and the lipstick goes up and down against it, causing some of the lipstick to accumulate around that ledge. That's annoying and it makes it look dirty after a few uses. Color was almost unnoticeable but it did glide nicely in the lips.

I’m on my third tube of this, which almost never happens for me with lip products! It’s super comfortable, hydrating, and doesn't have that awful chemical SPF taste. I also love that it’s an actual lip product rather than just another sticky gloss. If you have fair olive skin, the shade Spice is incredible. It’s so hard finding flattering shades for olive undertones, but this is that perfect deeper berry nude that elevates your natural lip color without looking like too much. Honestly can't recommend it enough!

The lipstick itself it’s just ok, didn’t see any special feature , doesn’t necessarily looks wonderful or better than others. The thing that irritates me the most is that the mechanism to roll it up and down doesn’t work, I have to press with a finger which is ruining the product . Waste of money.

Absolutely love these coloured lip balms with spf. I suffer terribly with cracked lips, but this has improved it massively. Just wish they made a non spf natural one for night time use. I've pretty much ditched using all other lipsticks in favour of this. Highly recommend.
