purchased two Dell mini PC's from ebay with no power supplies, but I had one HP same output and purchased another Dell power brick of ebay and used this adaptor on both. some laptops may complain about power supply in the bios but my mini PC's didn't.

Bought this as I changed my work laptop and it had a new style power jack which was not compatible with the numerous old style packs I had lying around. It does fit and mean I can use the old ones (makes it easier leaving one at home, one in the laptop bag etc) - but it only provides enough power to just keep the laptop running - and not enough to charge it back up whilst you're using the laptop. As an example I started with 70% charge the other day and after 8 hours use with this adapter plugged in the charge had dropped to around 62% rather than being back at 100% as it would have been with the new charger. Not an ideal solution but certainly cheaper than buying full replacement power packs and as long as you don't let your laptop run down completely then a reasopnably good solution.

The center pin on these is not attached to anything (There is no wire present) so laptops that detect adapter condition via 3rd pin sense *WILL NOT FUNCTION* These are TWO WIRE ONLY devices despite the connectors having all three solder tabs available the manufacturer has not used the center one in any fashion.

The centre pin on this adaptor is not connected so your dell laptop will not know the wattage of the PSU you are using, so it drops its drawn power to the lowest possible level. This means your Dell will slowly discharge its battery even though it says its charging. If you want an adaptor that will work with a Dell look for the shorter plug with a black end. This product was totally useless for me.

Wanted these to be able to use my old chargers after getting a new laptop. However, the resistance through this adaptor is so high that only a very small amount of current can flow through, so my laptop slowly goes flat after a couple of hours. Didn’t get round to returning as I was on holiday so to be fair to the seller can’t comment on if they’d have refunded or not.

I really only needed one of these, but have found a use for the other to save space. I will keep it on my tech bench, eliminating another charger/power cord.

So passt der AAOTOKK-Kabel auf den alten Lader(Kabel), kann den Laptop nur laden wenn dieser ausser Betrieb ist! Beim Arbeiten lädt er nicht!
