Good question! This tool will work on the nails of any dog. For more help contact FURminator at PetSupport@spectrumbrands.com or at 1-800-645-5154.

About how long does it take to file down one nail? I have a 15 lb puppy, who is growing. I would like a product to handle the growth & not take long

Thanks for asking! How long it takes is highly dependent on the dog and how cooperative they are. If the nails are really long you can use nail clippers first then the grinder to smooth out the rough edges and get even closer to the quick.
