I bought this item because I had fractured my ankle ...
I bought this item because I had fractured my ankle and do to complications my foot had dropped so i wear this at night to try and correct the problem but because of the swelling I still have it becomes uncomfortable to wear the whole night of it was not for the swelling I would have no problem with using this product.

Good splint, once you get the fit adjusted
I purchased this to replace one I'd had for many years. It works well to help my plantar fasciitis and I use it nightly. It took some time to find the correct adjustment for it. Other reviewers mention the uncomfortable heel cutout particularly, and that was a problem for me as well. The trick is to make the splint loose around your ankle, or else wear a sock under it. Anyway, this thing is great, in that it is not huge, so once you figure out the fit, it is easy to sleep in, it can be hot, but is not terribly so. I tried a different night splint before I found this one at Amazon, and the design was just terrible (it was much larger than it had to be, hot, rigid and pulled my foot over to the side because it was so big), so if that's the alternative style, this one is far superior.

Plantar Fasciitis - Works ok but not very comfortable for me
I started with the BraceAbility night sock which lifted my toes ok but put a lot of pressure on the tips of my toes which was very uncomfortable. I then purchased a StricklyStability night sock which was better but it keep loosening over night. I then tried the Aircast Dorsal night split. It kept my toes pulled up (not as far as i want) but i found it very uncomfortable particularly at the Achilles tendon area as per other reviews. I tried many things and got it better but not satisfactory. Also i found it uncomfortable on the top of my foot. I cut out some material on the device which improved it but eventually went back to my StricklyStability night sock but with home-made modifications which i am happy with. I put some silicone caulk on the inside of the top of the sock which grips my leg such that it doesnt loosen at night. It is difficult to wear a device lifting your toes while sleeping and have it be comfortable. Everyone is different and you might have different experiences but these are mine and i hope it is helpful for you.

Just out of a cam boot - really nice night brace - revised review
Initially I thought this brace would be the one. After a few hours of wear it starts to move. And the curve of the plastic pushes an edge into the top of the foot! Feet are triangle Shaped. Narrower at the toe and thicker at the ankle. It’s not rocket science. Having something tight at the ankle and then fixed shooting forward allowed my toes to drop and caused pain at the onset where the rounded bend pushes in. Given how widely different feet are and the angle of the wedge there should be some adjustment of the angle. Where the 90 degree angle is important is beneath higher foot at the ankle. The pad should permit manipulation so the plastic is at an angle matching the top of the foot. A big pad that only touches about an inch is terrible. Seriously, the people designing these devices should be required to wear them for prolonged periods of time! This brace has nice padding. The problem Is the plastic. It is in a circular shape. I can’t add picture because I will not give Amazon free permission to my camera. I can’t keep this brace in place and permit circulation to my foot. It shifts and allows my foot to extend which defeats its purpose. And the pressure on top of my foot at the instep was worse than the pain of surgery! Most of the pad for the top of my foot makes zero contact.

After single night Achilles pain almost gone!
Looking at reviews I was skeptical. My orthopedic surgeon recommended this for some chronic Achilles’ tendon issues. I figure just another contraption that was not going to relieve my pain. Finally decided since I can no longer do things I use to to try this. I was stupid for waiting. In one night use my pain to stand was cut in half. I could walk down stairs like a normal person without feeling like nails being driven into my heels. So fat beat thing I have done to relieve my ailment. Suggest reading the instructions not just look at the pictures!! I read yes read. Comprehended then applied the splint. It was not terribly uncomfortable and slept just fine with it. I will update my review if this changes.

Trouble with comfort
I tried night splints in the past with a brace on the back of the foot, but I was not able to get enough flex. I read that dorsal splints work better so I gave this a try even though it cost quite a bit more than other splints. I've worn it about a week now but it has been very difficult to get used to it. I have two primary problems. The first is the heel opening. I'm not sure why they put it there. I find that the elastic around the opening cuts into my Achilles tendon after wearing it a few hours. I usually wake up and have to pull the opening down on the back so it doesn't cut into the back of my heel. It's like wearing a tight elastic band around your heel for hours. I also found that I have to wear socks with this device because the entire thing is uncomfortable without padding. The second issue is that the upward flex on the toe causes me toe pain after about 6 hours. Be aware that it's hard to have your toes in a flexed position for hours on end. The toe flex is adjustable and usually I end up completely loosening the toe strap on the end. I had no trouble sleeping with my old splints but this one wakes me up a lot. Usually I pull it off at about 5 or 6 in the morning because it really starts to bother me. I ordered a size Large (I'm a men's 11). My plantar fasciitis is somewhat better but I seem to be chronic. Night splits help a lot of people but I'm probably one of that 10% that can't seem to improve. I'll keep wearing it and see what happens.

ben progettato tuttavia ...

Facile l'utilizzo.
