Thick, heavy quality.
I needed to replace an old tea pot that cracked. I think I looked at every tea pot Amazon offered and settled on this one for a few reasons:From the image, it looked thick and sturdy. I make tea every day, and several times a day in the winter or if I'm feeling unwell. This is not something I only pull out for guests, so I wanted a work horse. It's exactly as pictured - nice and thick and large enough for a proper pot of tea.I like that the metal basket slips out and you are not required to use it.The spout is open on the inside. This is a big plus for cleaning. My old tea pot was sealed on the inside except for a few holes. It was meant to reduce tea leaves from pouring into the cup, but it was awful to clean. It hold plenty of water. I filled my Cosori kettle to the max line and there was room for more water (without the metal basket).I haven't tested it long enough to see if it keeps warm over time.On a separate note, I have a ceramic Melita pour-over coffee filter holder (I'm not sure of the proper name, but you know what I mean.) My old Melita carafe cracked a couple of years ago and I considered replacing it but never did. I almost donated the filter holder to my local thrift store but I'm glad I didn't. It fits perfectly on this tea pot. So if I want to make a pot of pour-over coffee, this tea pot can work double-duty, which is a big plus.I also liked the farm house design. I was planning to go for something more elegant, but I'm glad I went with casual and practical.

Wonderful
I love itIt is beautiful The infuser is large enough that the tea leaves can spread out and get increased access to water. The infuser is much larger than my previous glass teapot. The tea stays warmer longer than my previous glass teapot.Once you remove the infuser the pot can go into the microwave and reheat tea. Unlike my glass teapot that had a metal collar and metal lid that was attractive made putting in the microwave impossible.

Great buy
I like the style, and it is really sturdy and the surface still shiny even though it goes in the dishwasher.

Lovely little tea pot.
I love this pot. I use the most of all my teapots (it's as good a my Brown Betty but more cheerful looking). The built in strainer is useful for either loose tea or for bags that sometimes don't hold the leaves well. The heat retention is good, but then again I usually use up the pot before it has a chance to get too cold. Looks very pretty on my counter.

A little drippage and a loose lid, but a great teapot nonetheless
I'd seen in other reviews before I purchased that the spout drips a bit when pouring, and I also found this to be the case. I didn't see any that mentioned the lid not quite fitting into the top flush -- maybe mine is just misshapen. But it works. With two scoops of loose tea (I've been drinking fruit teas, so the "leaves" are actually larger pieces of fruits and botanicals, necessitating more than regular leaf teas), I can get three 10-12 ounce mugs of tea out of one brewing. As you can see in the photo, my solution to the spout dripping is a cheap fabric hair tie, which I replace every day, replacing it with one I washed by hand and air-dried overnight a day or two before. The infuser works well for all except the most fine pieces of loose-leaf teas. I have a few teas that I know will leave fine particles in the bottom of my mug after I finish. That's okay, though, it's not like I'm having to strain it through my teeth every time I sip. Hey, maybe I'll learn tea-leaf reading this year! ;)All in all, a great teapot for the price, good sized, the flaws can be easily overcome or ignored.
