I only have Mini DP port on my laptop and wanted to connect multiple monitors via a DP to multi DP adapter. These all had full size DP plugs on them and I could not find one that had a Mini DP plug. Using this cable I was able to connect an appropriate multi monitor adapter and run two additional monitors as well as my laptop screen. A simple cable that just does what it is supposed to do without any fuss or Hassell.

Good quality adapter works well

Part of a twin screen setup and works perfectly at 2560x1440. Connector fits snug into dock and DP cable from screen also fits snugly. Sound get transferred - no glitches. Great product as always from Cable Matters

Seems well built. When it works the picture is fine. However when I attach it to another adapter it doesnt work, which one of my other adapters like this does so said I'd return it. was refunded, so no complaints.

My laptop only has a miniDP, so after a bit of research I found this one on Steam's VR community and purchased it - works like a charm. Just make sure to look in Nvidia settings (or AMD equivalent) to make sure the miniDP is coming from your GPU and you should be good to go.

Bought to connect an oculus rift s into a Hp Omen gaming laptop that has mini dp. Working off the bat with no problems. Does the job I needed it for.

I brought this after my original adaptor for my HP Reverb G2 VR headset got damaged. Works just as good as the original HP one.
