I've tried several USB-C cables now, and ever since my cat chewed through the one that came with my portable monitor, I've yet to find a working replacement. Most of them would power the monitor, but none would actually pass video. I've been resorting to a HDMI cable with multiple adapters and one of the other USB-C cables I'd tried just to supply power. I'm home visiting family this week, and it just so happens that my brother ordered the 1ft version of this cable. He lets me try the cable, and to my surprise, it actually passes video! However, the 1ft length kept me from actually being able to use the monitor in a meaningful way. The two of these in 6ft length that I ordered just came in (will be using the other one with another monitor I have at home that also does charging and KVM - will report back with the results). And just like the shorter cable, it works with my display without issues! Also nice to have is the braided design of these cables - my cat won't be chewing through this one. So if you want a durable USB-C cable available in the lengths you need it, that actually works, this is the one! EDIT: Got home and tried it with my monitor at home. Performs as expected and provides video, power, and KVM!

These are the real deal. They're super high quality and durable, nice and thick so they will never come unplugged accidentally from whatever you're using them with, and they can carry video, audio and power simultaneously, great for something like an external monitor. They're also truly USB 3.0 - when I bought a $100 Samsung SSD, I was disappointed at its write speeds with the included cable, but didn't realize cheap Samsung had included a shoddy USB 2.0 cable. The attached photo is of the transfer speed of a random 2gb file to my SSD using this Fasgear cable. I love it! I love these cables and recommend them to everyone whenever I can. I've also used the heck out of mine for 7 months now and no issues.

I lean toward cables with braided sleeving as they tend to be a bit more flexible. That's not the case with this cable, it's quite stiff, and it makes me a little concerned with how long it will last. High quality cable is typically quite flexible, and this is not that. It does, however, appear to be carrying the data and power that I need it to carry (65w for charging, and connection to a 2k monitor). I don't have the means to measure data or power throughput, but it does what the other cables in my collection can't, and does it for a reasonable price.

I got the red 6ft (1.8m) long cord cable, price seems worth it. Had no issue so far with them, they charge my Corsair Virtuoso XT Headset with no problem during use. Cable seems quite tough, and glad that it is such. The re-enforcement of the connection points to the actual plug housing with the bonded rubber shrouds down the cord is a welcome thing, as too many cables that are designed for Headsets and such are flimsier and breakdown too easily from normal use right at the point where the housing meets the cable. Or do like Corsair with no 1st party replacement cables ever for many months on their own website for multiple headset models that all use same basic Corsair branded USB-A to USB-C type of cable. The cable reached end of life where they did the ooze and unbending thing right at the housing. Had to hunt for this type of cable as all the other manufacturers also seem to be shoddy with connection point between the cables and the housings to replace shortsighted product development.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This Fasgear USB-C to USB-C cable is 6' long, thick and solid - should last a lifetime. I use it when I travel - I have a high power fast charge power bank that can needs a higher quality cable to effectively provide juice to my Surface laptop. This cable feels like it will not wear and break at the connector like so many other cables have done. As long as you don't abuse it by repeatedly bending it or running over it with a tank it should give you years of good use.

Item: Fasgear USB C to USB C Cable 1.6ft, Type C USB 3.1 Gen 2 10Gbps I have recently tested about 10 of these USB 3 C Gen2 10gbps cables with respect to throughput. I have not tested for charging performance. This 1.6ft medium length cable is excellent and with a solid USB-C Gen2 adapter/enclosure and a high-end NVMe SSD drive you will attain approximately 990gBps reads and 960gBps writes. I did not try the other lengths of this cable. This cable is a tight fit when inserting into several USB-C female sockets. Any tighter and it would create stress during connecting/disconnecting. Some cables are very loose which can be an issue. Most USB C Gen2 10gbps cables are terrible with the longer ones (> 3ft) being the worse. Many short to medium cables perform poorly as well but this cable works fine based on my 5-10 tests. Buying a Gen2 10gbps cable over 3ft long is a gamble. See the attached image for details.

I spent 6 months buying lots of different USB-C cables. I also realised that very few cables are fully connected at each end. There are 24 pins on each end (Most cables are not fully connected) These special cables have every pin fully connected at each end. This is extremely rare. On my Tower PC I noticed data transfer speeds on ordinary cables, were not as fast as I was expecting. After finding these high quality cables the Speed went up by an enormous amount This was using Macrium Reflect Imaging version 10 and also Testing with Benchmark Software CrystalDiskMark. I bought over 15 of these cables of different lengths, while stocks still existed. These are Special cables.
