Finetree PRO Series Fruit Crusher - Apple Wine Cider Grape Juice Press 7L

I have 8 apple trees and every year I make cider. I used to have an electric 'scratter' for mincing them up prior to pressing but after it broke, I could not justify the cost of another one, so looked to a hand mincer.After much deliberation, I decided on this one, and one of the main reasons was the all-metal construction of the gears, bearings and mountings.Putting it together was relatively straightforward, you will need spanners and screwdrivers as none are included. Once together it feels well-made and can take a fair amount of force.You will need to mount it on something or have somebody help you hold it, as mincing up apples single-handedly meant it moved around quite a lot. You will also need to cut the apples first, I found cutting the largest apples into 3 pieces worked best and it didn't take long to work through the hundreds of apples I had.Cleaning was also quite easy, the only fiddly bit was the hopper as this has some small folds, however blasting it with a hose worked wonders.The minced pieces were not as small as those from an electric one, which required more time in the press, and I would say the yield was slightly less. However we still got a very reasonable amount of juice and the cider is now ready, and tastes great.

This is an excellent fruit crusher it is manual so you have to turn the crank handle I recommend if you are making any cider cut your apples into quarters as they can get stuck in the mechanism but they send you a lovely wooden stick to poke them out apart from that this machine will crash apples grapes any fruits please be aware if you are using plums and peaches to make sure you get the Stones out and please keep your fingers away from the blades 5-star manual fruit crusher this machine will probably Outlast me

I don't usually leave feedback but this piece of kit really works well and five bags for life of various apples (cut into quarters) took nothing but a bit of muscle to render them ready for the crusher. recommended!

Haven't used the product yet as its too early for harvest but assembly is easy takes 15mins less if you know how its put together. The hopper is made from stainless steel, the hopper is just fastened into the green frame with 4 metal sliders that can be moved by hand, no need for a spanner, that are already on the frame so you can easily take the hopper off after use. You just need to install the 4 extra lugs on the frame with supplied nuts, bolts, washers and the handle. It can easily be taken apart after use and put back in the box for next year so the space required for the box for storage is 36cm length 28cm height, 38cm width. I will update once I have used the product properly in September/October once I harvest my apples

Very good for chopping apples before pressing for cider making.It is free standing and a bit wobbly in use. Would benefit from being clamped down.

Sturdily made with a high quality finish. Easily assembled, I used this to crush grapes before pressing them. Some small grapes fell through without being crushed but the vast majority were crushed nicely and were ready to be pressed.
