Re-purpose green pickle buckets from McDonald’s and old soap containers for use in carrying slop, water, feed and other items.4. Since a permit for using tires for retaining walls cannot be reasonably obtained we are requesting that old National Geographic and Sceintific American magizines stacked interlocke in piles be used as retaining walls to hold dirt from around trees.5. In the early 60's I was in first to 4 grade. My folks bought a Wards Airline record player, plays six records one on top the other. When we all went to bed the record player would be loaded up and we listened to all the good country records we had which were many. Johnny Horton's Greatest Hits was one of the most popular ones. This one is great as it has all the songs on that old album except one. I got a Hole in my Pirogue. I dont know why they didnt put that on this offering but if they had I would give it six stars instead of 5. Very much unknown is Johnny Horton nowadays and he sang patriotically with songs like Sink the Bismarch, Battle of New Orleans etc. He was also a rockabilly to many people. Whatever he is to you I think you will find this excellent music all the way through. Do yourself a favor and get it. The production is very good on this also.

Its sooo nice you offer the old timers music as I grew up on this. love my new music and the quality sound so good on my bose player.

The title is supposed to be like Horton Hears a Who. I don't know if people would get, so I explained. Lol. Anyway, onto this superb collection. Fantastic. Every song was very good with some great ones. Not a stinker in the bunch. It's a shame Johnny Horton isn't better remembered today. I think he's an all time great.

this is an awesome collection of johnny Horton music. the older collection of country music is still the best and always will be. for this is true country and western music.

I purchased Honky Tonk Man the Essential Johnny Horton 1956-1960 as a gift. I already have this same CD set for myself and if a person likes old country and western music they will enjoy this set. It's the best.

I like the Rockin' and Rollin' Johnny Horton collection better. Not that this cd is bad it just missed some of his greatest works. Once again someone saw fit to leave off Rock Island Lines. Any time you're listening to Johhny Horton it's a treat, so if you don't have it get it. Christmas gift for my husband...he is a big Johnny Horton Fan. Lots of Honky Tonk songs that we were not familiar with and all his big hits as well.
