Maybe I was using the wrong product for what I wanted to do. I'm so tired of matching mis-matched socks! There are seven grandchildren in my house, a total of ten people. Even if they only wore one pair of socks a day (which isn't the case) that's seventy pairs - or a hundred forty single socks each week that is looking for its twin.So I thought I'd buy all the same socks, only in different sizes, and mark the size on the sole of the foot. The youngest two wear a size 4T clothes, so I put a 4 on the bottom of their socks. I put a 6 or an 8 on the bottom of the next size up, for the kids wearing sizes 6 and 8 in clothing, and a 12 on the sole of the ten-year-old's, who is between a size 10 and 12 right now.After the socks were washed twice, the remaining paint-marked numbers were too faint to read. I thought fabric paint would hold up, but maybe I need to try a white permanent ink marker. If anyone has a better idea - please, let me know!I don't know what else white fabric paint pens would be used for - but if you are planning on washing the item, be forewarned. The paint washed away.

the directions are small to read on pen, a little tricky make sure you shake them for several seconds or minute before ink with flow into the end of the pen, then they are nice good for dark fabrics.

bleed or leak proof very durable and is great item

Pen did not make much of a mark on clothing. After the first use the pen would not come out of the cover and when it did it detached from the tip and white paint flew everywhere. It poured out everywhere so of course I threw it away. The process was to return the item to do a return.

These are great pens for marking dark items for the laundry. When you get your pens be sure to READand FOLLOW instructions to get the pens to work for you

Much easier to use than a silver sharpie when labeling black clothing. If you need to label Camp clothing and can’t use a stamp because the clothing is black I highly recommend these.
