I almost didn’t buy this because of some of the negative reviews, but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. Honestly, I haven’t experienced any of the issues other people mentioned. This machine is incredibly easy to use.. seriously, a child could make cotton candy with it. Just let it heat up, add the sugar, and start spinning your cone. After a couple of tries, you’ll be making large, fluffy cotton candy with no problem. One feature I really appreciate is the two suction cups on the bottom (one on each foot). They keep the machine securely in place while it’s running, so it doesn’t slide around on the countertop. It also comes apart easily for cleaning, and I love the vintage carnival design. It’s adorable sitting on the counter and works just as well as it looks. If you’re hesitant because of some of the bad reviews, don’t let them stop you. My experience has been nothing but positive, and this machine has been a blast to use at parties. I would absolutely recommend it!

The cotton candy is very soft and fine. The machine is easy to set up and easy to clean. Have fun with this and enjoy it’s perfect.

I had a cotton candy machine when I was a kid, and my sibs and I loved it. My mother? She didn't. So nostalgia, and a FB review of a cotton candy machine, prompted me to buy one for when my granddaughter comes to visit. Of course I had to test it out. The machine itself is adorable, and I love that you don't strictly have to have floss sugar for it to work. (I'm planning to try Jolly Ranchers, but haven't yet.) It was super easy to set up, and it works like a charm. Once I got the hang of exactly how far above the rim to place the cone, and the speed needed to roll the floss onto it, I was able to make rounded puff balls of cotton candy. There was very little "floating" pieces that escaped to mess up my kitchen, and it takes very little sugar to make a nice sized ball. The cotton candy tasted as good, if not better, than that from a carnival. The machine was very easy to clean, which my antique version was not. The two cones and the tsp measuring spoon, that came with the machine, are sturdy and also easily cleaned. I'm sure the little fellas in my family, and some not so little, will enjoy using this cute cotton candy machine. Update Edit: I tried using Jolly Ranchers, and Werther's hard candy caramels. Neither worked as well as regular floss sugar. Both candies created a "floss," but the Jolly Ranchers got too hard, the Werther's tasted like burnt sugar, and neither were near as fluffy as regular floss sugar. This isn't a deal breaker, but not quite as advertised.

My little sis loves it. Works well just doesn't produce a ton. I just hope she doesn't give herself diabetes.

We had so much fun playing with this cotton candy maker. The spun sugar magically appeared and the kids loved gathering it on a cone. We bought disposable paper cones as well, but the spun sugar doesn’t stick to those as well, and the whole candy ball tries to fall off as it gains in layers of cotton candy and thus, weight. The bigger, the more it comes loose from the paper cones. I recommend using the two that it COMES with, they’re washable and textured so the sugar has some grip. As you continue making cotton candy, it begins to build up under the rim of the machine and becomes clogged. We just broke up the hard cooled pieces and put it back into melt, so we were able to reuse the sugar. I’d still buy it, we didn’t get it to make candy for dozens of people, so it works for us.

The kids are enjoying this very much. It’s a very good machine works perfect. Very easy to use made out of good qualities.

This was a fun little gadget to try if you’re only making 2–3 cotton candy cones on a random night. I bought it on a whim as a fun activity for my daughter and her friends at her birthday sleepover, but I greatly underestimated how much these girls love cotton candy. Before I knew it, they had made 5 or 6 cones back-to-back. After that, the machine began overheating, and at one point the hot plate started shooting out tiny sparks. What was even more concerning was that the sparking didn’t happen until after we unplugged the machine and let it cool completely for the first time—which takes at least 10 minutes. Once cooled, the machine appeared safe to plug back in, but the sparking continued every time we restarted it. As a precaution, we allowed it to cool completely between each cone after the initial overheating issue. I also checked the extractor head after every use to make sure it wasn’t clogged and that it was clean. After about an hour of use, the machine stopped spinning the sugar into cotton candy strands and instead began clumping the sugar into hard chunks. Those hardened pieces then fell into the burner area rather than the small melting dish positioned in the center of the hot plate. Ironically, the instructions specifically warn against allowing sugar or crushed candy to come into contact with the burner because it’s a fire hazard. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable continuing to use it. It was a fun idea for a short, occasional activity, but I would not recommend it for making multiple cones in one session.

We are a large family, we use this all the time for birthdays, events and camp outs. It’s a hit with our children and our friends children! Keeps everyone busy, excited and hyped up on sugar.

Easy to use, my 13 y/o granddaughter uses it. The cotton candy is nice and fluffy and melts in your mouth. I have never made Cotton candy before, and from the first time I used this machine they turned out nice. I would recommend.

It's a good and fun machine for kids to make cotton candies but it's a bit of work to clean it.
