Chickens use'm, don't have to worry about changing their water or them crapping in their water again. Directions say for adult birds only? My baby chicks were using these within a week, made a automatic waterer using a 5 gallon bucket, 1 1/2" pvc and a toilet bowl float. They do tend to drip, but that may be because my reservoir sits about 7 feet up and creates to much pressure, but doesn't matter because the chickens fling water everywhere anyway

It would be nice if they came with the nut to screw them in. With a little trouble you can find them at the hardware store.. FYI they are metric. These appear great other than that....

they seem to make a mess with these needs to have a cup under them or something to catch the water, they don't drip on their own but the chicks make a mess of it

We installed these nipples in the bottom of a five gallon bucket. They are wonderful! The chickens quickly figured out how to drink from them, no more dirty or poopy water.

They work great. Read some of the other reviews for info specific to installation.
