This is an attractive and well-made item. I have machine-washed it (gentle cycle) and line dried it. The photo was taken while the coverlet was still on the line, so you can see that there's no loss of color and no puckering. I'm very pleased with this aspect of the quality.However, I did choose this coverlet because it was advertised as having a base color of white, and it absolutely does not. I know colors vary by monitor, but in the photo, you can see the white and pink quilting stitches. The contrast between the white stitches and the fabric is quite noticeable, regardless of your display's exact characteristics. The base color of the fabric is beige. It's an attractive, consistent sand color, but it's not white.So--buy this because it's fun and bright and well made for the price. But don't buy it if you need to coordinate with other white items, because you'll be disappointed there.

I have a blue blanket just like this one that I have had for years and yes I machine wash and dry. It is holding up well and is a perfect summer weight blanket- my husband hates heavy blankets so this really fits the bill. On to this one, so I was looking for another and this one is a great quality, washes well and is the same perfect weight, a good quality summer blanket.

This coverlet is extremely lightweight and has such fun colors. It is perfect weight for summer. And it is washable.
