Fish Mate 1000PUV Pressurized UV+Bio Pond Filter

I waited over the winter until reviewing this filter. My old filter would clock after a 2 or 3 weeks. This filter did not clog and is really easy to clean.I don't know about the UV light though. I have not seen any reduction in algae on my waterfall. I still love the filter though. Would buy more again.

It does a great job of controlling the Algae and String Algae in our small ( less than 500 gallons ) Koi Pond. The only improvement I would recommend would be an easier method of cleaning it once a week.

I have this installed in my turtle pond. The pond used to get green within 3 days and you can't see the turtles and small guppies. With this UV filter installed the pond water has remained clear for the last 3 weeks. I really didn't like cleaning this pond and I'm glad this filter will greatly reduce the amount of times I will have to clean it.

After installing the pond filter, we realized the UV light was not working. We were able to purchase a bulb at a local nursery because we did not want to remove the filter and return it. Otherwise, we are pleased with the unit, and it appears to be working properly.

I have a three year, 300 gallon stock tank pond. It's never had filtration of any kind. It has been pea soup for three summers. It gets full west texas sun, and is moderately stocked. The filter has cleared visibility to the bottom in 4 days. I'm totally impressed. No buyers remorse. When this one quits, I'll probably order another.

This is the second Fish Mate 1000 P-UV filter system I have owned. It does a great job for my 160 gallon pond. The only problem I have had with it is the squirrels chewed through the electrical cord--a shocking experience for the squirrels.

Cannot use more than a 500gph pump it will burst. If you think this will even come CLOSE to keeping 1000gal clean....forget about it

This unit did not control the alge buildup. I don,t know if the inside filters were inadequate or if the UV bulb needed to be stronger.

Arrived on time easy to set up and it's working well.

This is the best filter I have had, it cleaned my pond in no time at all.

Used for clearing water and serving waterfall.
