Long sleeve
The sleeve segment is 3mm longer than on other any other jack plug I've ever owned. Depending on the socket, this either leaves the plug sticking out of the piece of kit, but working or, if it goes in fully, it goes through the tip connector it simply doesn't work. I bought pancake plugs because of restricted space on my pedal board and there was no space for the extra 3mm protuberance and sadly I needed the plug on the day it arrived. Luckily, I was able to deconstruct the jack plug, cut off 3mm of the sleeve and re-assemble it in time for my gig. For me, at least, these products are not fit for use. Why would any manufacturer make something in a non standard format?

Fit for purpose

Completely unfit for purpose
This has no solder terminal for connecting the shield braid. Any attempt no matter how quick to make a solder connection to the metal case results in the plastic insulator melting and loosening the contact between the case and the plug shaft and then intermittent operation. Unfit for purpose.

ZERO stars. SERIOUSLY bad. Ring does not connect at all
I bought a pack of 4 of these TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) connectors. They are unusable. ZERO stars! With all of them, the Ring (middle connector on the plug) did not connect to the soldering tag (where you connect your wire). On top of that, they only have 2 soldering tags, so you have to solder the ground wire (sleeve) directly to the casing.Cheap, so not worth while returning: sellers get away with charging money for duds.

Terrible quality
I’ve solders lots of connectors in my life, and these are the worst I’ve ever worked with. They have all made their way to the bin now, and I regret the expense.

Dont seat properly
These TRS jacks don't seem to be built to the same standard spec as others. They are a bit longer and in some applications just don't work reliably, often disconnecting until they are pushed back in.... but just don't seem to push in far enough to make a solid connection. Disappointing.
