Gravity Well with UVC Steralization Portable Water Purifier

I love this little setup. It got me started on purifying our own drinking water from the creek. As a beginner, the price and convince made this an easy choice. I am learning and looking at more purification methods which has made this a tool for education.

Just received my order and opened it up. The instructions are less than stellar, which is what brought me back to the amazon page, looking for better information. The pictures help, and if the company doesn’t want to print that, I suggest they make a video for this amazon page.The critical part of a water filter is the filters. It doesn’t matter how good the filter is if the dirty water can bypass the filter. The filter holes made in the bucket are quite rough and obviously did not have any finishing work to clean them up. That is disappointing: it is something that could cause a failure. I will clean them up with some sandpaper before I put the filters in, but really, I shouldn’t have to. This is not enough of an issue to make me return the bucket filter system, though, since I can fix that.My barn does not have water run to it. I’ve been carrying buckets from the house, but that’s a pain. I got a barrel to collect rainwater, however, it can cause illness if it sits and gets stagnant. I have ordered a solar powered aeration stone, and with that and this filter, I think the water will be safe.

I received my new water filter. I am very impressed by the quality and ease of assembly. I feel much better for my family in having a fool proof way of purification for drinking and cooking water. In an emergency we'll be ready.

Arrived with a damaged/defective top pail. Called the company and they cheerfully sent out a new pail that arrived in just a few days. Excellent customer support. System was easily assembled after playing with it for a few minutes; direction are ok if you're mechanically inclined or are familiar with these systems. Easily disassembled for compact storage. Water dribbles out under gravity (with a full top bucket anyway), and comes out about twice as fast if included air pump is used. A great balance between expensive systems and mere filters.

I ordered this water filter because I thought it would be simple. So not the case. I did not know that the dust on the filters are carbon and are meant to clean the toxins from the water. I'm still unsure if I'm suppose to continue to do my best on scrubbing the very dirty filters that came like that as so. Or just leave it alone. Hopefully I can figure something out with putting this water filter to use. This item for sure needs more information on it. Not worth the price.

Really you are paying too much for this, however they give you the basic setup without the need for creating it yourself. Order a few more filters and such and you are good to go for a basic water filtration.could have room for many improvements, like a carbon/rock/sand filter above the ceramic. In that case you need a slide in to allow the pre-filtered water to pool around the ceramic.Overall, decent product
