Mcbazel HDTV HD AV RCA Component Cable Cord For Xbox 360 / XBOX 360 Slim

This is an HD cable for an Xbox 360 which doesn't have an HDMI out.We had an Xbox 360 which went to heaven a few days after we got Call of Duty Advanced Warfare.After a private funeral, my wife went to a local retailer (who may be the devil) that sells refurbished Xbox 360s.She hooked it up while I was at work and shortly thereafter I received a text that she needed me to look at the setup, because the picture seemed blurry to her.I looked at the setup and found that the cable provided by the Devil... Err... The local retailer was just a standard AV cable. The HDMI cable that I'd used for the old Xbox 360 was just sitting to the side. I attempted to plug it into the Xbox, but there was no HDMI out on the console.I grabbed my trusty, Android powered Smartphone and harnessed the full potential of the Internet to locate this item on Amazon Prime for a reasonable price. I took a deep breath and deftly pressed the Buy with 1 click button. You could cut the tension with a knife as I waited for confirmation of my payment.-Two Days Later-The cable arrived in a yellow envelope. It wasn't just any envelope. It was one of those envelopes with the bubble wrap attached to the inside. The kind that makes it difficult and unfullfilling to pop the bubbles. Inside of this envelope was a clear plastic bag holding the cable I had ordered. There were no instructions. What was I going to do? There were literally seven (7) connections that could be made between the Xbox and the Television. Most of them were round, but one was large and shaped like a decapitated triangle.I started with the large connector. It was similar to the large connector on the AV cable I was replacing, although the cable was installed off center when compared to the original. I discovered that just like the original, you cannot install it upside down. It just won't fit. I pushed pretty hard, but not so hard as to break it or the console itself. I have some experience with asymmetrical connectors so I decided to turn it around and just plug it in the other way. It fit like a glove. I also noticed there was a switch on the cable that allows you to pick HD or Standard Definition. Since I was pretty sure I was purchasing this cable to improve my family's experience with the game system, I set it to HD. Next, I proceeded to the back of the television. I used the color coding on the cables to match those on the television. There were no problems with improper rotation of the cable on these connectors. It appears that there is no top or bottom. It looked as though the installation was complete. I nearly organized the wires behind the television and sat back in the gaming chair and just admired the workmanship. This was certainly a high quality Xbox 360 installation.I pressed the power button on the television. It make a click, then a few seconds later a message appeared saying No Signal. I nervously pressed the power button on the Xbox 360. The sound of cheap cooling fans and even cheaper optical disk and hard drives filled the room. Then, it happened. The screen turned white and the Xbox 360 logo appeared. The image was crystal clear. I can't tell the difference between the HDMI output of the old Xbox 360 (RIP, you beautiful console. You left us far too soon. You had so much more to give.) and the Component output of this cable. The sound was always just coming out of the lackluster stereo speakers of the television so the sound quality is also equivalent from the RCA connection vs the former HDMI output.My wife and son lived happily ever after killing imaginary soldiers with imaginary weapons.

Works great! Get the HD graphics without using up an HDMI slot is really helpful with everything else that's plugged in. Had some user issues at first but fixed them quickly. Two biggest (simple) things: 1) If your kid plugs them in, make sure the red cables are in the right spot. If they get mixed up, you'll end up with a green/olive hue on the screen. 2) If you need it set to HDMI, make sure you set the switch on the plug to HDMI from standard; otherwise, you'll just get standard definition and you'll know it. Definitely recommend.

I knocked so two stars because you cannot use this cord on your Xbox along with an HDMI cable. It specifically tries to prevent you from using an HDMI cord. I solved the issue by popping off the casing around the port. Problem solved. I can now use this AV cable AND my HDMI cable at the same time.

I got this cable after buying a PS4 and running out of HDMI inputs on my TV and wanting my Xbox 360 to stay have HD resolution. Unfortunately, the resolution stayed at 480 on my Xbox 360 whether or not I flipped the switch to HD. So, if I want HD I will need to buy another cable and switch back forth HDMI cables on my TV.EDIT: Turned out this was my mistake. I had to reset the display option on the Xbox and then the HD worked fine.

I bought a component cable for my Xbox 360 (arcade model I believe) thinking I could use it for better picture and sound quality, because I believed that the one I had the comp cable didnt work. So I ordered this and the component cable's sound wire either didnt work or my tv or xbox wasnt able to use it. This is the same thing that happened with my first cable. So upon realizing this I contacted them and told them my story. At first they told me how to use the cable, helpful, but I knew how. So they then gave me a full refund and let me keep the item. Overall, this is a great seller just do some reasearch on the item(s) you want.

My Xbox 360 HDMI connection went out. This was an inexpensive way to get the Xbox 360 back going by using the other connection into the TV. Haven't had a moment's problem from this setup.

The dweebs at QWEF123 are sending out a cable that IS NOT a Microsoft cable. And because it isn't a microsoft cable the Audio RCAs won't reach to my receiver whilst the HD cables are plugged into the TV. The Real MS cable has a hologram emblem of Microsoft and manages the different set of plugs separately for the purpose of playing HD video through the TV and running the sound through a theatre receiver.If you're plugging everything into your TV, then fine. But I'm not so now I have to waste ink printing a return slip and go drop this crap off at the local UPS store.Thanks QWEF123 for your false advertising.
