Please do the research on your PC. If your motherboard is rated for RAM that maxes out at an amount below 3200mhz, while this RAM may still work, you will not get the full 3200mhz that this RAM is rated for. In some cases, you may have to update your BIOS in order for this RAM to work at all. And these scenarios have nothing to do with the quality of this RAM. So with that being said, I have used this RAM in Dell Optiplex SFF as well as in third-party gaming builds. This RAM works great, and the RGB looks good if you have an open window case. The good thing about the RGB on this Ram is that it will work with most common RGB software, no proprietary apps or drivers needed. So for me, I like this RAM, the price point is great compared to other RAM with the same specs.

Alright, so if you’re building a mid-tier rig, upgrading an old system, or just want to throw together a test bench (👀), this OLOy Black Owl kit is a smart move. It’s DDR4, 3200MHz, dual-channel, and honestly performs way better than you'd expect at this price point. I dropped this into a secondary rig with a Ryzen 5 5600X, and it booted up instantly, passed MemTest with zero errors, and ran stable across multiple gaming sessions and some light 3D rendering in Blender. Didn’t even have to mess with timings—just enabled XMP, set to 3200, done. Also? The Black Owl heat spreaders look slick. Clean matte black with sharp lines—none of that “I’m 14 and this is my first RGB build” energy. Minimalist, but purposeful. You could slap this into a stealth build and not even blink.

On the ASUS TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS board, this ram operates correctly with XMP 2.0. The QVL list doesn't have the number of this ram. On the other hand, Aura Sync is not working properly. As shown in the attached picture, the LED comes on but ASUS's Aumoury Crate does not recognize this RAM, so RGB color cannot be changed or turned off. The RGB of the previous team group RAM worked very well. I've asked the technical support part, but I guess the problem is that there is no OLOY RAM in the HAL of the Aumoury Crate.

Please note if you have an AMD or Intel CPU please make sure your CPU model is compatible with the max speed of this ram my AMD ryzen 2700x works well with this ram but would kept restarting every time I would put it to the max speed at 3600mhz under bios so I looked up under the forms and as it turns out My CPU is only compatible with 3000mhz after setting it to the recommended frequency the ram worked excellent I use it to play such games as rust into do other things with multimedia and I can run many programs at once at top speed with both the combination of CPU and RAM so I would definitely recommend this for someone else especially for the price plus once I get a new processor I will try running it at 3600 but for right now I'll stick to my 2700x even if it is incompatible with the ram's top speed

RAM was plug and play, xmp was a cakewalk and speeds are as advertised with that good cl16 speed. Top notch for DDR4. The RGB is wonky, and defaults to rainbow cycle. I have managed to synch it to my mobo scheme, but one of both sticks will break free and go back to rainbow strobe or default to blue, not always across the whole stick. I suspect this is to do with my motherboard. I have a pre built system that shaved some cost with a generic biostar board which has proprietary RGB control software, so a more mainstream board would likely get past the issue with ease. I am all in all very happy with my purchase and the performance of this ram. You would be hard pressed to beat the performance and quality for the price!

Great value, looks awsome but be aware I had to install my CPU radiator at the front of my case because of the ram sticks out a little further than most.
