BWK1360 Fireplace Tray

I read all the other reviews and as usual I start off with the worst ones first. I found this much better than many of its worst reviews. Ok, the pans don't fit together perfectly and the bolt holes didn't line up perfectly. I had to bang on it a bit and slightly re-drill the bolt holes. Other than that it fits in the fireplace pretty well, and for the price it beats having to sweep up ashes. Just lift the pan out, take it outside and dump the ashes. Very simple and clean. I enjoy my fireplace much more now.

I was looking for a bin that would fit inside our back porch fireplace. This one works extremely well. It withstands lots of heat without making "popping noises" that you sometimes hear from metal. You don't know it's there which is ideal really. The following day, clean up is super easy - I just remove the grate and life the entire pan out. Very pleased. Great addition to f/p.

Makes cleaning out ashes much easier. It fits my pre-fab fireplace perfectly when adjusted to the smallest size. Pre-fab fireplace walls and floors have a limited lifespan of 15-20 years, depending on how often the fireplace is used, then they start cracking and have to be replaced. This gives some protection to the floor of my fireplace.Most importantly though, I only have to lift it out and carry it outside to dispose of the cold ashes. No mess in the house.I painted the front outside edge with a flat black high temperature spray paint so it would blend in with the front of the fireplace. I’m very pleased with how it looks.Some reviewers have complained about the screw holes not lining up. My ash catcher came with instructions to assemble the two sections with the single-screw-hole side on the inside and I had no problem at all.If this ash catcher wears out before I do, I intend to buy another.

One thing I hate about assembling precut metal pieces (like sheds and this product have in common), is that often times the precut holes don't align. I ran into that with this product. The inside lip had to be bent in order to get the screws in. Was I able to eventually do it? Yes. But the inside of the tray curves and bubbles; is not flush, which annoys me and created an extra 15 minutes of frustration that could have been avoided. The second issue is the size. At its largest capability, it still wasn't the size I needed for my specific fire place. There's about two inches of gap on each side and about four inches of gap in the back.Granted, my fire place is quite unique and large, custom made in the 50s, and we've struggled to find covers and trays like this before. Most people won't run into this issue; but if you've got an irregular sized fire place you might- so just wanted to throw that out there. Over all, decently satisfied with the product. The precut holes not aligning properly was my biggest issue. Beyond that, it's just fine. Eventually got it to screw together. If you get this product and the holes are aligned, it's fast & easy assembly and should work great for you!

I've been looking for years for something that would add a lip in front of my fireplace to prevent ashes from falling out. This product is perfect and gives me an added bonus for easy clean-up of my wood fireplace. I only found it because it came up as a recommendation based on other products I was looking at and purchasing for my fireplace. Assembly was easy and will simplify cleaning the fireplace with less mess. And, it solved my 11 year problem of ashes falling out, especially hot ashes when adding wood to the fire. Safety bonus!

This is a great fireplace tray, catches all the ashes from my fake logs. Pretty high sides and adjustable left and right sides. The galmanized steel hasn’t warped and has kept its form even after a season of nearly nightly 3-4 hour fires. It really makes cleaning up the fireplace easy and convenient. You can easily take it out and just dump the ashes out. No more sweeping or vacuuming the ashes.
