Great candy thermometer
This was a game changer for me. I tried making peanut brittle without a candy thermometer and it did not work. When I tried again with the thermometer it came out perfect! I highly recommended this product.

Does the job, but the clip does not work as well as I would like.
I like everything about this candy thermometer except the clip that holds it to the vessel in which you have the oil. If the vessel in which you are frying is not deep enough, then the probe will tend to move from an upright position and tilt one way or another.

These work great
I originally purchased these for myself however my son grabbed on of them because he makes candy a lot. We both love them because they clip onto the side of the pot you are using and they are easy to read. I have also used them to deep fry taquitos.

Not designed for candy
Doesn't stand straight. Clip is too weak to support. Not sure if it reads accurately but my fudge was ruined.
